Re: Black clips
The coating on clips usually depends on where they came from. Golden or Seki or... And even the I have seen different coatings come out of the same factory. At least 2 different types of coatings out of Seki, and 2 different types out of Taichung. The coating Golden uses seems to be dlc but the othe...

Re: Reveal 12 Live!
Cool.
Cant wait for sprints and exclusives of the military 2.
15v shaman and pm2. Thats awesome.
K390 enuff 2 is interesting. A k390 fixed blade would be cool.
Stoks designs look neat, might grab one if they are cheap.

Its fine. Sometimes knives out of the Golden factory have an edge bevel that is a bit steeper on one side.

Re: Fat guy problem: I keep losing knives when they're clipped to my pocket
Have you tried not wearing pants? :winking-tongue Seriously though, jeans just dont work well with my mini-wallet, cellphone, and knife all in the right front pocket. All of my cargo shorts handle that well though. The front pocket on jeans just isnt nearly as big and stuff wants to get squeezed out...

Re: TASMAN SALT 2or ASSIST SALT FRN YELLOW? (Sailing).
I would recommend the Atlantic salt over both of those. Maybe an Enuff salt if you want a small fixed blade. I dont think the Assist salt is giving any advantages over the Atlantic salt on the water. You (hopefully) wont need the glass breaker, the whistle in the handle wont be nearly as good as a c...

Re: 2023 Spyderco Product Guide - Now Live!
Looks like the bow river got a cqi with a second forward lanyard tube??? Even though the page before it seems to have the old picture. Did that already happen and Im just behind the times? Or are the pics with the second lanyard hole a wrong stock photo? I honestly cant remember how mine is. Edit. I...

Youre also paying for innovation and warranty. Even a lot of the better Chinese brands I dont see being around in 40 years.

Re: Is this authentic? co41
The Ramco Laguiole didnt have a spydie hole. Supposedly there some Japanese made knives with thumb studs that were distributed by Spyderco, although I guess that would still not be a Spyderco. Several of the early Spyderco fixed blades didnt have the hole. Szabofly and Spyderfly also seem to lack th...

Me, I have never had a facebook, myspace, twitter, tik tok, instagram, or anything else.
I guess forums dont count? Or maybe it depends on the forum...

Re: Price increases 2023?
The other day I made a post about the price of things since I joined the forum in 2007. The price of Spydercos has roughly doubled in those 15 years. It got me thinking about other things I buy, and whether or not they've doubled in price. Skateboards are the same price as in 2007. Disc golf discs ...

Yeah, I would ignore it and wait until the whole edge needs sharpening.
Some of my users have way bigger chips in the edge than that.

Price increases 2023?
I cant remember if this has already been covered, but does anybody have an idea about the price increases for next year.
Sure I would like there to be none... But if they go up I would like to know what is increasing and by how much?
