Re: Sandvik Family of Steels
My very first pocket type knife was the Kershaw Blackout it uses Sandvic 14c28n and this knife has been a standard for Kershaw for many years, and it's been a great useful knife and is easy to sharpen.

Re: Sprint Runs and the Abysmal Aftermarket.
People vote with their money so if people like what Syperdoco puts into their Sprint runs, they make it known by buying the ones they want.
Now if they don't like what they find in a Spyderco Sprint run, they just don't vote with their money meaning they do not buy the knife.

Re: Unexpected Consequences
I understand everyone has their own ways of making a knife decision, myself i read the forum i watch the many videos that others have posted, i watch Spydreo's videos.
Then i order the knife from a trusted Vendor i trust and use the Knife Center, when i get the knife then i find out how it preforms.

Re: Guide to the Best Knife Steel
Blade geometry and the Heat treat are possibly as important as steel type for an individual design. I have blades in VG 10 which I love but I prefer more exotic materials at this point. I think any steel guide really is just a starting point for discussion. I find that Spyderco is using steels that...

Re: Guide to the Best Knife Steel
Well after reading the forum and reviewing the s110v data sheet, and watching a 2016 Blade show interview video with Sal and his son Erick they spoke about the choices of steel they use in their knives. I placed an order today for the Spyderco C101GPDBL2 Manix 2 with s110v steel blade and i am reall...

Re: Manix 2 Blurple first impression
In honor of this thread, I located my S110v Manix 2 in blurple and will carry it the next few days. My knife is virtually new, has almost never been carried. It seems perfectly smooth both opening and closing. Somebody knows somebody who posted a video about a knife with a problem. Probably some bi...

Re: Hide Ability between my Spyderco PM2 and my Kershaw Blackout
One item i have noticed is the hide ability between my new Spyrerco PM2 and my Kershaw Blackout, i keep my knives tucked into my pants front, notice in picture how the Kershaw Blackout hides better then the Spyrerco PM2. Even if both were in a side pants pocket, the Kershaw Blackout hides much bett...

Re: Manix 2 Blurple first impression
In his video he is saying knife is brand new, and he implies other have noticed this item. I'll be honest I skipped the video but a gritty action is usually dirt. Mine was smooth from day 1 and when it wasn't it was dirty. If there is a problem with a new knife that you can't solve just send it to ...

The only reason the purple M2 isn't my main yard work knife anymore is that it has to split pocket time with the orange & S90V M2 LW and the Ti/CF & S90V Military... It's really a beast for tough cutting chores! Another benefit of the G10 Manix 2 is that it's very secure in a gloved hand du...
