Thank you and yes, you are correct, Sir. My Dad got that rifle for me in 1965 when they first came out.MadMaximus wrote:Great blade! What is that rifle? A Browning BAR?

Re: Show off your latest purchase
Received my Moran yesterday. In its Kydex sheath, it fits in a spare magazine pouch on my rifle case so it will always be with the rifle. We've trapped a lot of hogs but my cousins did the skinning. Now, they will not be able to knife shame me. But I will probably let them do the skinning anyway. It...

Re: Tip down carry
What do you mean by change? Do you mean change from tip up on the Delica to tip down on the Tenacious? Spyderco makes a wide variety of knives and even for the knives with clips that can mount on either end, they sell them in different configurations. For instance the Tenacious and Para2 are sold t...

Re: Tip down carry
Being an old timer set in my ways, it is taking me a bit to become accustomed to tip-down carry of my new Tenacious. I mean, after 25 years of carrying a relatively smooth Endura or Delica with the non-adjustable integral FRN clip in tip-up configuration, I got pretty good on the draw and flick. At ...

Yours is Bigger Than Mine
One day at the office, my co-workers were talking about their 9 mm pistols. I didn't say anything. Finally, one asked what I shot. I replied, "11 mm." Of course, a .45 ACP is actually 11.25 mm, but what's .25 mm among friends. There is no point to this story. It just seemed funny to me at ...

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?
Thanks for that lead, but you can't flick it. It's the surprise and click of a wicked flick that gets peoples attention. I could not find a tactical folder bottle opener, so I made my own. Bought a cheap Maxxam and violated the elliptical opening hole with an angle grinder. Voila! The Mad Mac Tactic...

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?
Middle finger, ring finger, what? How does a person even do that? Of course I've only been flicking open my Endura and Delica for 25 years, but I always use my thumb and a flick of the wrist. I didn't know lock backs were supposed to difficult to flick. Hmm. That may explain why the first day I had ...
