Springtime down under.
Looks like you got some rain.
Everything looks perked up.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
A new Seecamp can be purchased from any gun store through a distributor. https://seecamp.com/how-to-purchase/ In 2014, Whalley Precision purchased Seecamp from Larry Seecamp, son of the founder, and moved operations to Southwick, Mass. Whalley had some quality problems early on which should be resol...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
The cause of problems in the Seecamp is usually because some brands of cartridge are ever so slightly too long. Seecamp once recommended only using Winchester Silvertips back in the day. If you have access to a micrometer you will see what I mean. One enterprising owner made and sold go/no-go gauges...

Re: Does anyone here ride motorcycles?!?
When I was riding most of you were merely the gleam in your daddy's eye. The 1985 Yamaha V-Max sported the largest rear tire of any production motorcycle ever made and set a record for production motorcycles in the 1/4 mile. But it also marked the end of the era for naked, iron framed, carbureted mo...
Re: Sunsets
Not a sunset but last month when we had the solar eclipse I noticed this pattern of shadows cast by my hickory tree on my stone walkway. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ADCreHcW67y_g2nht_9Hjc2pmd1njAjugiKjk4sLjJtgLx25b6lSiLdY3DzBFl2Dt9un2YPr-5JZbVxqQCxpCDFBoNs-Qm15Nmbv7JZJzCeENRFmmNWYt64X=w2400...

For the first time in a long time there was a heavy thud on my picture window. An unfortunate Red Napped or Yellow Bellied Sapsucker lay dead. The link above explains how they were once thought to be a single species and now there are some hybrids. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ADCreHceYgAAqc...

Re: Does anyone here ride motorcycles?!?
After 5 years and more than 50,000 miles I replaced the hydraulic lines on my Vmax with over braided stainless steel. The improvement was remarkable. And though I never owned one, as far as exhaust notes go, the snarl of desmodromic valves on a Ducati makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. ...

Re: Does anyone here ride motorcycles?!?
135 was as fast as I could stand it on my naked 1998 Yamaha V-Max. Though it was capable of more, I was not. Down here we have the Texas Mile. The objective is to break 200 mph. Four motorcycles achieved that in March of this year. The fastest speed being Tommy Fabregas Ninja ZX-14R at 227.4. https:...

In the same vein, the second time I quit riding was after this 2002 BMW F650GS. The low suspension version allowed my precision sized self to put both toes on the ground. This was the successor fully brought in house to the original BMW F650 "Funduro" assembled by Aprilia in Italy with the...

Re: Show your Bugs and Critters
Saturday night, my Tennessee Treeing Brindle, Ginger, got bitten for the second time by a Copperhead before I could dispatch it with my heavy hiking stick. Once I begin striking the snake, Ginger jumps in, takes it and shakes it. This one got her before I could put it down for the count. No picture ...
