It's a great knife indeed. I like the addition of the full liners and steel backspacer over the FRN version. This guy rides in my pocket every day. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7398/8721335952_06f13e9057.jpg Nishijin w/ STR Lowrider by senorsquare , on Flickr That is a really beautiful knife. Nice...

G-10 Dragonfly may be the best all around pocket knife

Hi Folks, I want to put in my 2 cents worth on the Spyderco G10 Dragonfly. Before we go any farther, let me say I mean this as a perfect pocket knife that will be with you everyday, in the traditional sense. Today people like to use the term EDC and that can mean anything from a small 1 inch blade t...

What does she do with the knife? What do you expect it to be able to do? If we don't know where we're going, how can we expect to get there? :p She mostly carries it. She will use it to open things. But, it is handy to have if you have to cut yourself out of a seat belt. Plus, where we are currentl...

I thought about this knife and almost bought one for myself. But, I want to find one here and try her out on it.

Do you feel you get adequate grip without the pinky magazine extension ? I do with mine. If you think about it, the old Colt single action forced most people to put their small finger under the bottom of the grip and no one ever complained. It shoots great in 9mm. I have a Hip Clip on mine and Lumi...

[quote="Excellent ergo's, is the dragonfly 2 a no go due to the strength of the spring?[/QUOTE"]

I am not sure about the DF. I need to pin her down and try it. I know the Manbug is too hard. She is tiny. and her hands are very small. Also, I was hoping for at least a 2.5" blade, but...

I just got a burgundy meerkat and I think they can still be had. It's a sweet Comfortable little knife with excellent retention I had not thought of the Meerkat because it is a bit odd and a bit small. How hard is it to unlock? How hard is it to deploy? Can you snap it open from a closed position l...

How exactly did the mini-grip open up from being dropped on the bed? Just trying to picture that in my mind. I had that happen with one of my assisted opening BM's. When this happened to my wife, I did a drop test with my Mini-Grip and my 707. I was able to get them to open on average 1 out of 7 at...

These are all some good suggestions. Lately, I have been giving serious though to a Clip Blade Spyderco Enuff. It is just large enough for most tasks, it will (though a bit long) fit in my pocket, and I can hang it around my neck. It has good steel, too. It stacks up well against the tried and true ...

Wife knife recommendation

Hi folks, I need a recommendation for a knife for my wife. She had a liner lock (a top priced brand!) that came open in her purse and she nearly cut herself. She asked me to buy her another knife. I bought her a BM mini grip but I dropped it the other day on the bed and it came open too. I never car...

Today, I used my Caly3 CF to carry in my waistband while riding my motorcycle for "varmit" protection (though here varmits carry machetes). I used a G10 Manbug to cut apples and open the mail.
Then the Spydercos used me! I was forced into ordering a Dragonfly G10. I couldn't help it.

Thanks for all the replies. BAL, I had not thought of the Military, for some reason. I will give it a look. I am still leaning toward the Becker Necker but I do love the convenience of a folding knife.

If you were stuck with only one knife

Hi folks, If you were stuck with only one knife, what would it be? I thought about a Benchmade D2 Nitrous, a Benchmade Mini-Griptillian, a Spyderco Endura, a Spyderco Para-Military, but have been thinking of my Becker Knife and Tool (Kabar) Necker with 1095 CV/Carbon V/50100B steel. It could take th...

Does the Moran have a full tang?

Hi folks,

I am looking at a new fixed blade knife for my collection. I do not have a way, just now, of going to the store to check out a this knife and the website does not tell me. Does the Spyderco Bill Moran have a full tang?

I've heard that finding axes in garage sales, farm auctions, estate auctions are the best ways to find good ones. Because I've heard that the older axes truly the better ones I like your thinking. Going to garage sales, estate auctions and sales, and etc. are good ways to find top quality axes and ...

Get it at Walgreens. It is a carbide sharpener that has an ax sharpener built in. Does a good job.

Most handles are as strong as their liners. Blerv, you are absolutely correct. Once, a police officer and I had to perform a rescue and had to pop a small chain the process. My knife, without liners, simply flexed and did not break the chain. The police officer had a knife with liners and he popped...
