The Stretch 2 uses a 3 hole W/ lanyard hole, again not sure which (but is not the same as the Resilience, nor Native Salt/ LW).
yeah, I forgot above: Stretch 2 uses the same clip as Police 4, Native 5 and Endura 4.

Re: Pocket Clip Sizing/Compatibility Info

Cool thread.

- Endura, Delica and Police come with the Native 5 clip.
- Manix XL and PM/Manix 2 have the same clip.
- Manix 2 LW has a one screw wire clip.

Last ditch effort goes like this: take off the other side, and the blade, and heat the Pivot with a flame. Not too much of course.

Will both expand the Pivot a bit and soften any loktite in there.

In the overall scheme of things, a trivial fix.
Without liners maybe not so trivial. ;)

I’d go with the wood. It really came out well and I like the extra heft it gives compared to the FRN.
Me too. My favorite Endura. I do have a Ti version too, but in the mean-time it also received a HAP40 blade. :)

Re: Pocket Clip Sets and Handle Scale Sets : Would it be worth it for Spyderco and would you want them?

I think the aftermarket is doing a great job on those things, and it makes more sense for them to be done by small aftermarket producers. Agree. Plus, any kind of factory knife customization would obviously take business away from the limited editions that sometimes sell out in < 15'. More work, le...

Anyone else got a soft spot for the early Militarys?

Yep. Got one for the safe (front) and one for EDC (back), both 440V:

Hard to see in this pic, but the front one is #010. :)

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

If you don’t want a linerless G10 knife then don’t buy it.... Some of us are excited about a linerless G10 big knife in the lineup. True and good for you. Then again, I can only buy so many Militaries (the knife that made me become a Spyderco user). I was excited initially because the Native Chief ...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

I have read all the arguments in favor of Linerless knives. They are good points, but no one has addressed the glaring flaw in the concept. If you put steel rotating against what is essentially plastic without washers or liners of any kind do you not think that material like sand for example will n...

Deleted original post. Stunned by the clip position putting pressure on the lock. But factory pictures confirm your knife looks as it should.

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

LW is not equal LW. A pic shows more than 1000 words: https://photos.smugmug.com/Picture-a-Week/2019/January-2019/i-hQ2gJ4z/0/54e44f99/X3/Lightweight-X3.jpg If the Chief has "Pivot liners" screwed/riveted to a steel backspacer like the Manix LW on the left, I'll get one. If it has no liner...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

Not a fan of liner-less construction especially on larger blades. There is enough play in the smaller ones I have. Hope this is not a trend to get prices down. I would rather pay a bit more for more solid durable quality. My linerless manix 2 is solid as the day I bought it with no play. I expect t...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

If the weight (76 g) spec'ed in that thread is correct, it took all the excitement out of the Chief for me today. :( That will be the first >= 4" blade Spyderco that I won't own. Well, that and the Renegade. Roland. Hard to imagine that will be the weight. The Native 5 G10 linerless is close t...

Never tried a Shaman, but have the other two. Wouldn't say the Caribbean is the best knife Spyderco makes :), but it is certainly much better than the ATR2 which really disappointed me last year. The Caribbean has a super build, great steel, lock, etc., if you are considering it, you should certainl...

Re: Chemical Resistance of G10, FRN, and FRCP?

Never tried it but I do work on cars and bikes.

Brake and carb cleaner should be fine as there is rubber and the occasional plastic/nylon in both brakes and carbs. Stay away from contact cleaner, it has acid.

Don't fish, sorry.

Like for other favorite movies, I like a good camera and a good story also in a horror movies. Texas Chainsaw Massacre felt boring. I don't get the "gore just for gore" thing. The most impressive horror movie that I remember was Hostel. Other favorites, in loose order: The Shining, 28 Days...
