Re: What knife is this?
Hi there, sorry to tell you but that’s a fake Spyderco Domino. There are several things wrong with it — stock lockbar doesn’t have that hole, body screws are the wrong size, topside clip screw holes are missing, the blade shape is off, etc. It’s a bad clone, sorry again. Cheers, Radioactive https://...

Re: I got my Techno 2 today!!
Wasn’t a big fan of the green, so I went for blue on the T2 (I had Esteban at TiSurvival re-anodize them). The blue screws are from Steve at BladesWeLove. My Techno 1 has a Cuscadi black G10 backspacer that’s a few mm taller than the stock blue G10 one, which gives it a lot better grip. Both have RG...

Hi there, these are highly recommended:
https://www.lynchnw.com/spyderco-standa ... eplacement
The blacksmith ones have a finish that matches Spyderco DLC blades. They often have black cerakoted ones available too, but don’t seem to have any currently. Hope this helps!

Re: Looking for input on next Spyderco.
Of your list: Bradley, Kapara and Stretch 2 XL are my recommendations. You have solid Golden and Seki-made knives already, time to see what the amazing Taichung factory can do! The Stretch 2 I recommend because you need to experience that knife with liners and G10. :)

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
A couple of recent IG posts, I figured folks here might like to take a look too. I’ve said it a few times on this forum that I don’t think any period in Spyderco’s history can match the sheer beauty of what the Moki factory produced back in the day. The inlaid Kiwis and Kopas are some of my most fav...

Yes, thank you very much! Certainly my most referenced threads on the forum. Just to help link up the previous year’s list, here’s the link to the 2023 Lists thread:

Re: Help! Mystery box second missing a pivot screw
Sometimes these screws work themselves out bouncing around during shipping. Did you check the shipping box itself to see if it fell out? Unlikely, I know, but it does happen. Good luck! Cheers, Radioactive

Re: Manix Talk - Full sized VS Mini
Old timer chiming in here. Back when I started obsessing over Spydercos a decade ago, the forum considered the Native as the “mini Manix” just FYI. There’s never been a model with that exact name. Same kind of thing as the Chaparral being originally meant as a smaller Sage (yes, lock types are diffe...

Re: Manix 2 LW deep carry pocket clip
Hi there, you’re in a bit of a weird spot here with the Manix 2 wire clips. They use that staggered clip that places the lower rounded contact point right on the shield (“escutcheon”). A standard deep carry Spyderco wire clip will fit of course, but it’s not long enough for that rounded bit to prope...

Hey there, I recently came across this issue myself as well. Definitely a bit frustrating after you’ve opened the knife up! :)

Re: A Gayle Bradley 2 in Cruwear!
The GB2 is really a fantastic Spyderco, one of the most undersung for sure. I know it’s not under appreciated, since folks that try one typically are blown away by it, so hopefully a lot more people will be able to experience that with this exclusive. I can think of at least two custom scale makers ...

Re: Chaparral
Hi there littlespoon, sorry to read that your Chap has that gap. In looking at your pics, it does seem that the inner barrel that holds those 2 lockbar bolts might be a bit too long. I recommend taking one screw off, and then push the barrel and other screw out with a very thin Wiha bit and the lock...

Re: Custom Chaparral LW Micarta Scales!
Finished up this project with the help of a gently used CQI FRN Chap off eBay and another dose of minor frustrations. Those came from the fact that the screw holes weren’t quite cut wide enough to accept the larger ones, so I had to work those out a bit which ended resulting in the need to sand and ...

Re: River's Edge PM2
Nice to see this second run with the black liners! Broke down and ordered one, I have an unopened FDE Lynch clip that was just begging to be put on one of these bad boys. I personally am a huge fan of 204P PM2s, my favorite being the OG Knifeworks forest green version from a decade ago — back when S...

Re: Custom Chaparral LW Micarta Scales!
Hi folks, I have an update on my black linen scale set adventure. I received the scales last week and finally had time yesterday to work on them. They came nicely cut but gray and unfinished, they were downright furry in fact! I spent a good 3 hours sanding them down with 400 and 1000 grit wet/dry s...

Re: I'm in love with Ultem...
Here are some fluted RGT black Ultem scales along with a DLC Lynch wire replacement clip on my DLC Cruwear Lil Native. The scales are very nicely finished, plus they’re super light! The pen is a short black Ultem Bolt pen from Tactile Turn, also super light and highly recommended! https://i.imgur.co...
