Nothing to do with model or steel. Any model in any steel can be just as sharp as the other.

Some models do tend to come with thinner edges, thinner primary grinds or thinner blade stock but that is geometry which is different than sharpness.

It might be worth noting that Kabar/Cutco and Ontario were only about 30 minutes away from each other. Maybe Kabar can swoop up some skilled employees and expand a little? Maybe they will buy some of the equipment too? I would be pleased to see them get into the machete and bayonet market.

Got mine and like it. Mine seems like a great specimen so far. Gonna go straight into my pocket starting tomorrow.

I hope that this being a larger knife and a somewhat dated style that it will be easy to snag. After some thought this is absolutely my style. The only thing I don’t like is the coated blade but I’m learning to live with that.
