Re: ClipiTool Beer Bottle Opener Photo Album

Spyderco does not make a knife with a corkscrew. Therefore, we cannot drink wine. In fact they planned to make such a knife. The C31 Europa. http://www.spydiewiki.com/index.php?title=C31_Europa" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ooh, ooh, ooh... another opportunity to show off...

Yours is Bigger Than Mine

One day at the office, my co-workers were talking about their 9 mm pistols. I didn't say anything. Finally, one asked what I shot. I replied, "11 mm." Of course, a .45 ACP is actually 11.25 mm, but what's .25 mm among friends. There is no point to this story. It just seemed funny to me at ...

Re: ClipiTool Beer Bottle Opener Photo Album

Thanks for sharing, you quitter. :p Have not quit completely. Simply switched to light beer. Can still look forward to a couple of Stones in the evening. Saving the craft beers for special occasions. It is possible to use the ClipiTool to pry open a lift tab. Wouldn't want to break a nail. Cheers! ...

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?

Thanks for that lead, but you can't flick it. It's the surprise and click of a wicked flick that gets peoples attention. I could not find a tactical folder bottle opener, so I made my own. Bought a cheap Maxxam and violated the elliptical opening hole with an angle grinder. Voila! The Mad Mac Tactic...

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?

Middle finger, ring finger, what? How does a person even do that? Of course I've only been flicking open my Endura and Delica for 25 years, but I always use my thumb and a flick of the wrist. I didn't know lock backs were supposed to difficult to flick. Hmm. That may explain why the first day I had ...

I Have to Recant My Rant

Recently, I purchased a Brand X and a Tenacious from an individual on a Jeep forum, new in the box. The Brand X is three times the price of the Tenacious. I was very disappointed with it and allowed my disfavor to bleed over onto my opinion of the Tenacious without even giving it a fair trial. Both ...

ClipiTool Beer Bottle Opener Photo Album

For nearly a year, my ClipiTool Bottle Opener was my EDC. With a two beer a day habit, it was a joy to open a cold bottle of beer with it. Unfortunately for health reasons, I have had to give up the craft beers I loved, but not before I chronicled some of my favorites. Below is the first one I photo...

Re: Older Spyder models; Updated Materials?

My first Spyderco was a big honking, fully serrated Endura acquired at a gun show in 1990, quickly followed by a Delica of a more practical size and plain blade. My latest is a combination Tenacious. Not up on materials, but what I liked about my old knives was the lightness and comfortable feel, ex...
