Another Military Question-SE
I don't have a Military in my collection and I am planning on buying one soon but I would really prefer a SE model. Is there a particular version that you would recommend? I have seen some around with a variety of different steels and wonder which you all prefer. I have no experience with 440V but I...

Re: Spyderco knife choice for someone with severe arthritis?
Thank you all for more of the great replies. Do you think this would be a good choice or not? After considering this more in depth and looking through the Spyderco sales catalog, I started to look at the Kitchen Knives, such as the Paring Knife. Would that, coupled with some form of durable sheath,...

Re: Which knife for my son?
I have a D2 in ZDP189 and love it. I actually prefer the dragonfly without the
G10 and with FRN. It is much lighter and a to me the zdp is a really superior blade for
this particular knife. Plus the British Racing Green is bad ***.

Re: Civilian. Why..
Yeah the CIVI is not a blade for everyone that's for sure. Actually it's bit too big for my hands but I am borderline fanatical about the Matriarch model which is the Civilian's little Sister>> And I wish that they would make a utility version of the Matriach with a significantly thicker blade. Unl...

I recently picked up a Manbug and I am pleasantly surprised at the cutting ability for such
a small knife.

Is it really worth the investment or would anyone out there recommend saving up the
extra cash and just going with the Nirvana?

Re: SE Hawkbill Advice
I love the idea of an XHP SE Hawkbill! That would be just about perfect. As to the VG-10 Merlin, I bought it at an Army surplus store several years ago that carried a wide variety of Spyderco. I didn't realize that it was a different steel than others. I guess that I just assumed that since I had o...

Re: Show your Gayle Bradley's
I bought a GB 1 last week because of this thread and holy cow what a great knife! The ergos in my hand are fabulous, the action is smooth and the M4 is absolutely incredible. I get the complaints about the lock but compared to the superb ergos of the rest of the knife it is a non-issue for me. Wonde...

Re: SE Hawkbill Advice
I have a VG-10 Merlin that has served me extremely well. It is a great work around the yard, weekend blade.
I am not a big fan of H1 steel but that may be because I live in an arid, land locked state
and don't require as much corrosion resistance as some.

Numbered Sprint Question
I realize that this is a dumb question for a lot of you, but are there any differences
in a numbered sprint and a regular sprint version? I ask because I picked up a numbered HAP40
Ladybug and Manbug recently and wonder why they are numbered and what I bought, other
than two really cool knives.

Re: Spyderco C81GPGY2 Paramilitary 2 CRU-WEAR
Looks like KW has stopped taking preorders until they know exactly how many they will receive. Glad I got my preorder in there when they were still taking them! Also their page says they expect them in October, not October/November like KC. Here's hoping for October! I haven't dealt with KW on any ...

Re: CTS-XHP??
My latest acquisition is a KnifeCenter exclusive Native in XHP and I'm loving it thus far :D I'm glad Spyderco's line-up of knives in XHP is still growing; it's a great steel and I'm sure we'll see plenty of sprints/models with this steel in the future :) Did you notice that KnifeCenter now has an ...

CTS-XHP??
I picked up a good deal on a Hungarian a few weeks ago and I have really enjoyed
the slicing ability of the knife; which leads me to ask why there aren't more models
available in CTS-XHP? It seems like a pretty good steel.

Re: Hello and Question
Depending on just how badly you want one, you might want to check out C ountry Knives . They're not cheap, but they're 100% reliable. They tend to have discontinued models longer than most internet dealers because they charge full MSRP. Thank you. Nice link and nice selection. The Persian is one of...

Hello and Question
Hello, I'm new to the forum but a long time lurker. I have been out of the knife collecting loop for the last 6 or 7 years while my son was in college so please forgive any redundant questions. The civility and knowledge on this board is outstanding. I am looking for a lil matriarch with a se (love ...
