You did make me look! After all, what issues could there be with this wonderful knife? It's back in my right-front pocket after sitting out a week while I EDCed my new Manix 2. Unlike the Manix 2's aggressive jimping along the back, which I really like in the hand, the Sage 3's closed back is friend...

Curious about blade logo
Am I imagining things or do Spyderco's factories apply logos to the blade in different ways? Golden (source of my Paramilitary 2 and just-arrived Manix 2) and Seki-City (source of my Dragonfly) seem much alike. The logo, metallic in appearance, seems to be level with the surface of the CPM S30V, CPM...

Joe has it nice and clear. Thanks, Joe. wrdwrght, might be a good idea to edit your post a bit, its as devisive as your making others out to be. We've got many different politics and beliefs here, but its a very friendly forum and we leave that stuff at the door (usually). And Welcome! :) I take yo...

New to Spyderco, I have acquired in quick succession a Tenacious, a Dragonfly 1, a Sage 3 and a Para-Military 2. I EDC the Sage 3. In addition to its sky-blue scales and its fit and finish, I admire the Sage 3's resemblance to points in the Clovis tradition of Paleoamerica. I do have my eye on the i...

There are a number of dealers that have a formal pre-order system. KnifeCenter, Cutlery Shoppe, KnifeWorks, and Howes Knife Shop come to mind, but I'm sure there are others as well. I have a hunch that most dealers who do not advertise pre-orders would probably be willing to reserve a knife for a r...

I've had my Sage 3 for a few weeks and, just because I like the feel of a knife in my hand (need I explain in this forum?!), have gone through binges of opening and closing it. I'd say the bolt is now marginally stiffer, even after a drop of oil, just at the start of its release. Where I think the t...

Newbie's introduction and word to the wise
While lurking on various EDC sites over the past year, I have continued to read really good things about Spyderco (I've carried SAKs all my life). I also liked what I saw of Sal in a recent Nutnfancy interview. So, last month, I bought a Tenacious just to understand the excitement. Now I have a Drag...
