If I remember correctly, that is going to be a Cutlery Shoppe exclusive. I remember seeing it last year on their Facebook page.

For the people that went to blade show, did Spyderco have a sample of any of these at their booth? If so how are the burnt orange handles?

I really thought I was done for the rest of the year with knife purchases and would start saving money..... and then that Rex Military was shown :D

Where are you finding out the msrp? I don’t see it in the catalog.

They are up for pre-order now! Got mine in as I sold my last para 2 Cru-wear and regretted it ever since.

My opinions on why this isn’t hyped as much as others:

1) Price
2) QC of the previous Lum Tanto exclusive
3) Jade g10
4) Not really a model everyone cares for

I feel this is going to fall by the wayside just like the orange positron

We need a Manix 2 XL in the configuration.

Has anybody seen a prototype or know if it's really going to be as dark gray as pictured? I thought I had all the Manixes I needed except maybe the Orange FRN DLC, but I need this one worse, especially if it's really dark gray. I'm going to tentatively put in a pre-order. I don’t understand everyone hating on the coating. The dlc m4 Manix sold out in record time. I personally like that it is coated. Less worrying about corrosion.

The C81GPRD2 is an exclusive for a distributor so you should start seeing these pop up with all the usual suspects. Kristi Wether or not it’s at the DLT exclusive I still purchased it from them. I’ve had nothing but great service from them. They never outsell pre-orders like some other companies do...

I got mine in as well but they were waaayy too small for what the size I ordered. I ordered xl but it fits like a medium- large. Exchanging for a bigger size.

According to the user phampet that came with the Shaman there will be DLC versions available as well. I’m sure they will look really cool but the stonewash is really nice to look at and hides scratches better.
