According to Kristi, 600 each edge type made. If they were distributed evenly between just 100 dealers worldwide, that would pretty much limit each dealer to six, and that's not deducting the CC#d ones. I must have at least 40 US online dealers bookmarked, so I doubt 100 dealers is an outrageous nu...

If it were to happen it would have to be a saber or hollow grind.I don't think
a fillet knife without a full flat grind would be usefull.I would buy one in vg-10 though, because it can be flat ground.5.5'' blade would be great. :)

I like the ability to thrust to get through clothing into the targets that respond well to cutting. As long as the hawkbill isn't so radically curved that the utility of the point is lost, it's a viable option. BTW, the back of the knee is not a biomechanical "stopper." The structures of ...

Should have waited until today before placing an order with them. I attended a trade show in San Diego today and met with the Spyderco rep. It was confirmed that the handle color will be brown and will be out hopefully by this summer. Good enough for me,so I placed an order for 2 with the serrated ...

An important detail question about this comparison is: Are the grind angles the same on each knife? They could be FFG'd to the same thinness, but its possible that the Para has a steeper angle on the primary bevel which makes it appear thinner behind the edge because the grind doesnt go as far up. ...

I was looking at my military and paramilitary side by side yesterday. I found something I didn't realize before,The military is thicker behind the edge. The spines are the same but, the paramilitary is ground down deeper. I am saying this because i've never heard of this on the forums. The para is a b...

Spyderco used a lot of VG-10. My only previous experience with VG-1o was not impressive. It was on Shun kitchen knives. I didn't like it.. These knives dull quickly. Plus had a tip get bent when being transported wrapped in a carry pouch they sell. I am guessing the answer is going to be that the S...

It would only make sense doing this
on steel like zdp.But H1 is so tough
whats the point anyways.Even a well
done laminated blade still will chip at the
edge,so it's really pointless with the types
of steels we have today.

Hi MMyron1, Bill Moran approached us with this design. He said he had developed and refined this model over a lifetime. It was his daily carry and his daily user. All sorts of chores around his shop while making knives. He said that he felt the design should see production as his custom models cost...

My vote goes to the gayle bradley as well.
The taiwanese maker has really impressed me.
I can't say enough about the deep high hollow grind
on this piece.I hope to see more blades with this grind.
