As long as you don't have to re-profile, it works great. My Bradley 1 came butter knife sharp. I thought I was going to cry when I started trying to sharpen it. Definitely easier than 110, but not nearly as easy as S30V or even 204P.

A 3" would be just about perfect. A back lock could be nice but it might ruin the clean lines. Would a BBL lock work?

Colorado recognizes your permit to carry a concealed handgun. I would assume then that your Military could be considered a concealed weapon, and thereby be recognized under your permit.
