Re: PM2 Conundrum
I usually start with a drop of oil on each side of the blade on the pivot and if that doesn't do it then I disassemble it, clean it, lube it and reassemble it. The action on PM2s are better than new afterwards. If the lower stand off screw is loose the blade will be way off center in my experience.

Re: USA Made Keychain Micro Spydies
It would be awfully hard to beat the Ladybug and Jester from Japan and the Roadie from Italy. The Jester is the perfect keychain pocket knife IMO. If you use your key chain knife to clean out your fingernails then the Ladybug may be better for you.

Re: Really liking S90V
I find it hard to sharpen compared to most if not all stainless steels.

Re: Really liking S90V
It and CTS 20-CP are my favorite stainless steels. Can't wait to get the PM2 salt in Magnacut to compare and see if it dethrones them. The M390, 204P and 20CV didn't do it, though I do use them a lot too. I have some Magnacut but I'll wait to make my final judgement until it's Spyderco heat treated....

Re: Over looked Gem
I actually bought a second one from Blade HQ in 2014 for ~$350 that had a really off centered blade that I returned. I should have kept it!

Re: Over looked Gem
It is especially cool with the d/a auto conversion by Vallotton himself. RIP. It's a real prize of my collection. I just recently considered buying one of these until I saw the price..$1k is out of my price range for aaaany knife. Wow! I didn't know what they are going for. I was lucky enough to sc...

Re: Looking to get my first Spyderco
If you are only getting one knife I would go with a Paramilitary 2. Lightweight, compression lock, superior steels available and only lacks the leaf shaped blade. For me a 3.5" blade is perfect. 3" too short and the Shaman is too heavy for me to EDC. https://www.dlttrading.com/spyderco-par...

Re: CPM 15V PM2
Sometimes I get an email on the alert thread, and sometimes no email comes through. Is that just kind of how it goes? Yes this is normal. Blade HQ's notification process is worthless for us and probably good for them to move stuff that doesn't immediately sell out to the stalkers. The notification ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2
<t>It's insane and has been since the first S90V PPCF PM2 sprint dropped in 2010. In the years that I have been chasing PM2s it's never been easy and so far I have only missed out on one that I had to buy on the secondary market. That was the C81CFPE2 PPCF CPM-154/S90V Sprint Run of only 300. It was...

Re: CPM 15V PM2
G&R Tactical and Knifeworks have dropped them so far. In my experience Knifeworks is usually one of the first and generally the first of the bigger online knife dealers to drop Sprints. DLT seems to be late to the game, waiting for their entire allocation before posting any. Cutlery Shoppe, Knif...

Re: Forum Knife Poll 2024 is now Live
On question number 3 I'd prefer "Spyderco Forum 2024" since it's obviously a knife. Just like the GEC Beer Scout Knife is dumb and just Beer Scout would be far better IMO.

MSRP $292.00 with a MAP of $204.40 so a bit spendier than the Manix was.
