Re: Radioactive’s 2.5K Post GAW!
Awesome GAW!! I've learned a lot here since joining. The first thing that comes to mind for me is how friendly and helpful the Spyderco community is. I've felt welcomed from the start and appreciate that. There are some forums on the web that I refuse to be a part of due to their lack of common dece...

Re: Request for Sal and Eric
I can't stand a knife on a key chain. But I understand those who like it. Just not for me. Knives go in pockets in my world. Knife on a key chain isn't really my thing either. I tried having a small knife on my keys a long time ago and realized it wasn't convenient and just added bulk. I know some ...

Re: New generation PM2 Fake
If that is in fact a fake they're radiusing the transitions into the cut out for the lock release on the clip side scale much closer to the real one's now. Kind of hard to tell from your pics but the sides of the clip looks like they're finished pretty good too. Based on some of the other things you...

Re: Manix CBBL or Mid Back Lock?
At this point my thoughts are opposite of most of the responses here. I have 3 Spyderco knives with back locks and, while there are aspects of the lock I like, I find them awkward to close with one hand. Maybe I just haven't learned the secret yet. While the spring in the CBBL on the Manix 2 is very...

The only BM I have is 556 Mini Grip. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it. I have my eye on a Mini Stryker and Sequel too.

Re: What Are You Reading ?
I'm currently reading the Game of Thrones series and have been for quite awhile (lot of reading lol). I'm a huge Dean Koontz fan and have read almost all his books. Just waiting to finish GOT and I'll Koontz' latest called Ashley Bell

Re: Spyder Anger
No need for apologies. I think what you were trying say is pretty clear. You got a little bored with your Spydies and traded them for something that you thought would make you happier, only to realize that Spyderco is where you belong. If were in your shoes I'd do some horse trading or sell what you...

I wish Sal & gang were still going to the TX state fair to show their wares. I'd love the opportunity to meet them and tell them thanks!

Re: Flaring the Tang to Ease Over the Detent Ball
I use the ball/curb stop to help close the knife. I push the liner over with my thumb to unlock the knife, then I use my index finger on the back of the blade to slowly move it the until I feel it stop against the ball, then I give the back of the blade a light tap with my index finger and the blade...

Re: Question on uploading pictures from Galaxy S5
Not sure what's going on but there should be no problem uploading pics from your S4 or S5 to your Windows 10 PC. I do it all the time with my S6 and I just helped my sister-in-law do it with her S4 the other night over the phone.Doc Dan wrote:And forget Windows 10 and downloading from the G4 or G5.

Re: Question on uploading pictures from Galaxy S5
Okay... I confess to know very little about the fancy-dan electronics of today's day and age. :o Bearing this in mind, would someone please explain how to upload pictures from a Galaxy S5 to Photobucket? I usually just use my USB cord and upload pictures from my S5 to my PC. From there, I upload to...

Re: Which should be my next Spyderco
I bought a Native 5 LW a couple weeks ago and I have absolutely no complaints. It's extremely sharp, locks up like a vault, ergos are good for the small size, very light weight, etc I have a Manix 2 LW on the way so I can't really advise on that yet. I've seen a couple Youtube reviews and the guys r...

Re: New Spyderco owner, help with sharpening, upkeep
+1 on the Sharpmaker. I used my old single angle SM last night to touch up the edge on my Sage 2 and then finished with KP Strop Block. The Sage 2 is more than shaving sharp now. I sometimes consider buying a more expensive sharpening unit or going back to my old bench stones and then I come to my s...

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
I am pleasantly shocked and surprised that I so quickly found two of you guys who are even aware of the older 5MM Remington Rimfire rifle. Because I believe it was either in the mid to late 70s when they were discontinued. If I remember correctly the ammo was rather pricey which is why I turned dow...

Re: The .22 Rimfire thread
One trivia question I want to throw up to you all >> Do any of you remember that Remington once also had another obscure Rimfire rifle in 5MM produced back in the 60s & 70s>> I never owned one but I heard they were also very accurate and comparable to a .22 Hornet. Very interesting thread and m...

Re: Knife Loss: Question for all
Great news everyone: I FOUND THE KNIFE. I had it somewhere nearby that I had (embarrassed to say this) forgotten I had put it there. All is good now. Great news! I was just reading this and was going to say that you have to politely tell your relative that you seemed to have misplaced a knife and a...
