Re: Sharp knives save lives

Couldn't it just be unclipped? Not trying to be a jerk here, but the collar has a clip on it and you wouldn't have needed a sharp knife next to the face of panicking dog. But I do understand sometimes a human panics too, and the easy options are overlooked. We tried to open the plastic clasp/ clip ...

Re: Gaboon Ebony Handles

Only experience i have with ebony is musical instruments (guitar fretboards and Uilleann (Irish) bagpipes. AFAIK instrument makers don't stabilize the timber, i do know they let it sit until it reaches humidity equilibrium (the pieces don't lose or gain weight anymore) and finished instruments are o...

Good save.

The next collar might be better with the tag riveted to it instead of dangling.
Yes, you're right. You pick up things along the way. I couldn't imagine something like this happening but there you go..

A dog in true panic mode can be a scary, and dangerous thing! Glad it worked out!

Re: Bring Back Spyderench!

It's a no from me. I have the OG 440C Golden model NIB, and it's a impressive piece, but to be perfectly honest i wouldn't use one. Only multitool i use, very occasionally is a 1990's Gerber needlenose.

Sharp knives save lives

Olivias collar, or rather the name tag got stuck between the floorboards on the porch and she tossed and turned in panic, making it worse. One swift but very careful cut and she was saved. Thank God (and Spyderco)

Re: SS Baby Horn - CX08/AGSP-2SS vs ...

I'll check the clip on mine. Not that it matters that much to me but i'm curious :) When I started the thread I realized that it probably was esoteric stuff that wouldn't "matter" much to anyone. Your pictures look great - thanks for posting. I actually remembered to take pics of the Baby...

Re: SS Baby Horn - CX08/AGSP-2SS vs ...

My Horn collection. As far as i remember mine's a AG Russel and not a CX According to Spydiewiki, the CX08 was produced for AG Russell: "The CX08/AGSP-2SS Baby Jess Horn was sold only through A.G. Russell, so did not appear in Spyderco catalogs." Yes i know, but i got mine from another co...

Re: Android or IPhone?

I had the iPhones up to and including the 5S but got tired of Apples walled garden and the constant hassle of jailbreaking. At that time, Android UI looked like it was drawn by a daft child IMO, but then iPhone changed to simpleton icons/looks as well so i decided to jump ship. Haven't looked back s...

I'm glad i got the Manix 2 back lock, and sad that seemingly i was the only one who liked it :p
IMHO it's much better than the CBBL (not necessarily better mechanically but ergonomically to me)

JD Smith, Calypso, All SS Scorpius for me. (the one resembling a dolphin head with lanyard hole further back. ) Larry you are speaking of the big, first run C-54 Calypso aren't you?.
