Re: What are your thoughts on the Autonomy 2?
It's the best side opening automatic ever made. At least if you actually want to use it like a knife. The button setup is pretty genius. It's self cleaning and is like a modified compression lock. Spring is easily serviced by the user. The blade won't rust. Easy to sharpen. Currently my edc. Works v...

3V SRK with orange handle at midway for $99. If I had disposable income right now I'd grab one.

Spyderco autonomy 2 with cronidur 30 apparently. :winking-tongue Explain? Speak slowly like you're talking to a foreigner... That "gun" tells you what metal something is made of. It recognized that it was cronidur 30 which means it's actually lc200n. Even if the metal isn't programmed in ...

I don't know if any are left and they are terribly expensive but Knife Center had Spartan Blades KA-Bar available a few hours ago in Magnacut. I don't have the income at the moment so I passed.... I almost wanted to recommend this and also wanted my own until the DBK boys broke one. Not made for ba...

Re: Why carry two?
I usually carry 2. H1 SE spyderhawk is my ultimate beater. If I need to do something dirty, possibly damaging, or someone asks for a knife. Also helps for cutting really tough or fibrous materials and it can't rust. My other knife is usually a PE knife. Mostly a military, autonomy 2, yojumbo, or Kri...

Re: Polished vs toothy edge for storing sharpness
ZDP 189 must hold up well. If I put it away hair whittling sharp it stays that way until I pick it up again. Most of my 1095 knives get covered in mineral oil for storage and they stay sharp. For those I usually finish them on the dmt blue/coarse stone. If this happens it must be very very minimal. ...

Re: Is there a consensus sharpest folder?
The sharpest was definitely my Jess Horn ZDP lightweight. It whittled hair from the factory. Of course the masses can't corroborate my claims because it was a sprint from long ago. Just trust me it was the sharpest.

Re: post storm limb clearing / big knife thoughts
I also vote for the condor golok. Been having mine for a few years now. Easy to touch up and it's sturdy enough to chop with. For big knives I usually use busse or carothers. Cleared a few downed trees a few yrs ago with the carothers medium chopper. I couldn't tell you how much I've cleared and cho...

Re: Most used VS favourite 🤔
My most used is probably my military as of late. But I rotate between the CF S90V and the S30V version. Another favorite is my spyderhawk and it's carried essentially every day and everywhere I can carry it. Kris is also a favorite that I use mostly on the weekends now because I work around caustic/...
