I'm also skeptical of the work hardening that people say occurs from repeated sharpenings.
While I commend Spyderco for offering a product that fills a niche and people seem to like, to me H1 is a novelty. I simply don't need a rust proof knife.

I'm pretty sure that the tang is skeletonized. It's lightweight and very comfortable to grip.

That would make sense to me but Kristi's post did not indicate that.

I'm sort of confused by Spyderco's decision to keep selling the original hardness ZDP Mule. I guess they think the number of warranty claims for broken blades will be low?

I just got a Tenacious and it's very impressive. Got to be one of the best bargains out there.

The bar is hard to disengage because of a strong spring and the sharp edge which digs into your thumb. When the blade is open it's also uncomfortable to grip because the lockbar sticks out further than the other scale. I would not recommend this knife. I handled a few of them and they were all simil...

I think the vertical bladeplay is inherent to the lockback. There's slight vertical bladeplay on all of my Spyderco lockbacks. That said I have a Cold Steel Lawman with a Tri-Ad lock which is like a modified lockback. It has no bladeplay. Aside from the bladeplay, the lockback seems like a good desi...

I had the same issue with the Jumpmaster. Didn't realize you have to push so hard. I like the snug fit.

Scales from Spyderco aren't happening. The purpose of the Mule Team is to try different steels and keep it as simple as possible. This is the fifth Mule.

There's a post in the Dealer section on BF stating that the knives are expected to be stocked this week. When the sale started they were out of stock. Credit card gets charged when shipping.
For me the Native III is the most compelling value.

Oh, I don't have one yet. I reserved one from a dealer today. I'm just always a little wary of the Walker liner lock. I was curious to hear if the lock engages towards the left, if there's any stickiness, etc.

I suggest the Stretch because the Caly3 handle isn't very wide. For larger hands I think the Stretch is better.
