What was the last thing you cut?(with your Spyderco)
Which Spyderco was riding in your pocket and what material, foodstuff, you cut or sliced..even if you gashed your finger with a Spyderbite..i used my Native C41PBK plainedge to slice up red peppers and onions in a soup and some freshly sliced cake for dessert. Nice clean cuts...

Hi Manixworld. I asked Trevor for one in 440c as I wanted to test it for myself since some people say it is such a poor steel with what is available now. I found it to keep an edge very well. Can compare it to VG10 and 154cm edge retention IMO. The N960 Bohler steel is next on my list to try out, b...

Hi Zen,thats an excellent review on a excellent knife..Good to see how you put such a work of art to superb use..Nothing better than a new knife edition to the edged family. You have some kickass knives. My two fave users.,foldingknives at the moment is my LoneWolf T1 Harsey folder in S30V steel and ...

Hmm so there's some contradiction about CE now; most don't like it, but you do, based on EDC. Makes it hard to choose :) And I figured VG-10 would have enough corrosion resistance for almost any place I might travel, and I do prefer it's adge retention, but the total lack of care needed on the H1 w...

Putting a Spydie Native through its paces..
I have been using my new Spydie Native with its S30V bladesteel and black FRN handle plainedge blade on various cutting and slicing tasks, and All i can say is man!cuttingpower, and on such a short blade..excellent!! Hi ManixWorld, It all beganin the mid 90's when we were working with another US knife company that wanted us to design a knife for Wal-Mart. They would build them for us and get us into Wal-Mart. I designed the model to work for a larger percentage of the general knife market. Sized effectively, la...

Some info on Native S30V FRN
I managed to pick up a brand new Native with S30V steel and black FRN handle..This is such a nice knife, razorsharp and superlite. My question is..'How long has this Native S30V FRN been in production. They are obviously still readily available..so i reckon that this must be a favorite amongst alot of ...

Personally, only Delicas I will/would carry are either the G10 (because of the FFG), or the fully serrated (again, for the cutting power). I love the Wave, but feel it really comes to live only in the Endura size, because of the heavier and longer blade. I couldnt agree with you more on the E4wave,...

I have used gun oil on my knives, which works wonders, and i actualy like the smell of it. I once used reel oil for fishing reels and things became sticky..the gun oil works superb..guess any thin machine oil where repeated friction is involved would work superbly.to me friction between moving metal p...

Delica4 plainedge or D4 wave plainedge
If you have both, which do you prefer for edc? Which one suits your needs best..does the wave feature on the D4 make the knife much better for your daily knife chores,or does the standard D4 plainedge, fulfill your needs enough. I sometimes find the flat saber grind a bit thick on the D4 Wave's slimme...

If the spine area can be gripped then jimping would be a minus, but if it's only for the fingers then I add my vote :) I can't say I'm a big fan of jimping on the linerlock release Jimping on the bladespine and back of handle..ofcourse the thumb and forefinger puts pressure down on the knife,whilst...

bro,i would suggest a Salt1 serrated or plainedge, for the intended purpose.serrated would make an even better selfdefence knife.i myself, just need to carry a knife 24-7...who knows, when it might happen that you could be running one day and you might just have to rescue someone from a carwreck,cuttin...

Jimping on bladespine
I have to say that every foldingknife should have jimping on its spine, specialy if its a knife, molds to your hand and feels like an extention of your hand. Jimping just gives that more secure feel when using a foldingknife.Nice secure grip, probably even makes the cutting and slicing job quicker and ...
