Re: Native Chief in CRUWEAR???
I would definitely prefer a tough steel for the chief. I think that it would preserve the tip and mitigate damage on such a thin grind. Geometry is doing all the work here.

Re: If you could give any Spyderco the Cruwear / Micarta treatment.....
1. Proficient
2. Lil native
I’m wondering if micarta would be possible on the linerless g10 models? Because if spyderco could do it, then the chief would be number 1 on my list.

I cant remember the thread, but I think Sal was talking about possibly moving the polestar to golden with better materials. What would everyone think of a Titanium framelock polestar? I would buy two.

I guess this one doesnt get a lot of love because of sales, but I bet some cruwear and gray g10 would make it fly off the shelves.

My vote for handle scales would be a tan or brown like the temperance 2. A more coarse finish would be great especially if it keeps cost down.

Bumping this thread to keep it alive.
I think a cru-carta proficient would look awesome with the sheath dyed brown instead of black.

I can see the resemblance. I always refer to the shaman as a striderco. It feels like a slim SMF to me.

I would definitely prefer the detents to be stronger in spyderco compression locks and liner locks than they are now.
