In thirty odd years there may have been a exception or two, but a model's discontinuation is almost always a question of sales, or rather lack of them. Models and variants that sell at levels Spyderco deems acceptable stay in the lineup. Those which do not, get dropped. As for the Caspian, there's ...

Pocket time and use doesn't allways define favorite(for me at least). For me the alltime favorite is Police SS, SE.Because for me it means Spyderco.I first saw a Spyderco in a movie(I don't remember the title, maybe someone can help me with it), where two boys were fighting and one used a strange kni...

On line shops in Europe
Are there any trusted(verified) on line knife shops in Europe ?
The only two I know and trust, are Heinnie Knives from Wales, U.K and Armes Bastille in Paris. But both are quite expensive.

Stainless steel handles in use
Does anyone use on regular bases, not only as EDC, stainless steel handle spydies ? I know it is more logic to use a FRN or G10 handle one but me, I like a lot the looks and the heft of SS handle Spidies. I am tempted to start EDC-ing(and using) a SS fully serrated Delica. But I'd like to hear more o...

As far as longevity and being a flagship model you can't say enough about the Police model. It is one of the most iconic of all Spyderco models without a doubt. Now I also believe you can put the Harpy right up there with the Police as far as being in the main line up for so long and being such a d...

Different serrations for different handles ?
I have both FRN and stainless steel handle spyderedge Delicas and Enduras(saber grind).Maybe is just an optical illusion but it seems to me the serrations are different. It seems that stainless steel handle ones have more sharpened serrations. The same with the VG10 blade steel. It seems that SS handle...

Why would you try to avoid the patina?! That is my favorite feature of the SB. The patina looks great once you embrace it It's just a matter of taste.Me, I like mirror polished blades. And remember that the stain is the first step to rust. Some people say stain protects the blade from rusting but I h...

While Tuf Glide might help...in the long run, you are probably going to see patina form. Tuf Glide is not a permanent solution. Depending on use you will have to reapply every 1-3 months. Also, there is a thread somewhere in which the toxicity of Tuf Glide is discussed and apparently it is not toxi...
