Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

All this 20CV. I don’t get it. Why don’t we see any sprints in 20CP anymore? That steel is one of my favorites. The old grey/20CP para 2 sprint from almost a decade ago was awesome. Hate I sold my few. Seeing how 20CP is simply an analog of Crucible CPM S90V, and we have lots of S90V sprints. 'Spec...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Finally finished freehand reprofiling my cruwear native 5. Took me 4 days . In the past I would get fatigued or frustrated and knowing or unknowingly return to sharpening closer to the original angle, leave the edge with multifaceted bevels or a convex edge. I stuck it out the whole way this time. ...

Free hand sharpening is also allot less boring and pretty relaxing.
Almost zen-like, especially when things are going well.

To hunt zombies, the knife must also possess a mall ninja blacked out blade. Even the kindergartners know this to be true.

Wartstein thank you for asking for this photo and Deacon thank you for being gracious enough to provide it.

More striking to see those side by side.

It'll be interesting to see how the PM2 LW (Eric is working on) fits into the equation.

Re: Compression Lock Military 2 Steel Poll

20CV is very well balanced, would like to see it become the new base model steel. Would also love to see a salt M2 in 2020, if they could make that a goal. Vanax preferably, but LC200N will do. Can always sprint the exotics down the road. I think with tip up, and compression it'll sell better, only ...

Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390? Provided it's on the newer M2 model with the Compression lock? I'm in! Better yet, hope to see a vast selection of different steels being offered on the newer upcoming model, too include other dealers and distributor exclusives. Finally being ...

Still kicking myself for not getting the Stretch 1 when it was around.

It's still around if you're willing to pay their shipping.

Re: Sharpmaker rod maintenance

Oxalic Acid is the magic ingredient in BKF, that isn't found in comet, or ajax iirc

So if you cannot find BKF you can try ZUD, or just type Oxalic Acid on amazon and get the stronger version in a 2 lb bag. Just wear gloves with the stronger version and have good ventilation.

Re: Newbie with knife steel question...

Hi Constructor, I think you're going to love the PM2 Model. Now it's just a matter of deciding on a steel. As Ferider and others have echoed M390, 20CV, and 204P are all pretty much the same steel from different foundry's. The Bento Box blue M390 is what I chose for that use years ago, in the hot an...

Re: Bento Box Something Something....

Although I already had this steel in the police model, much prefer the compression lock over the back lock. Had to cave and grab it. Doesn't look like these are as appealing to the flippers (lower profit margins), thank God! So for users that love the PM2, this is a premium catch, and available for ...

I have narrowed down my next purchase to one of two stone sets. The Vanev Bonded ( With new bonding agent that is not so hard that the finer grits fail to perform) 8 inch Splash and go double sided 3 stone set that Michael Christy reviewed with both Hap 40 and S90V Spyderco's. The second set is the...

Did Masahiro buy Daido? or Vice versa? Asking because Zvi's steel database has it listed as Masahiro, and if it's incorrect I want to shoot him that correction.
