Option to get different steel for my LH Military. I'm tempted to take a Cruwear blade and add some metal, then regrind the tang where the liner locks up. Have wondered if something like this would work as well... but it may be better to just keep pushing for a LH Millie sprint :D Also would love to...

Does anyone really think my Kershaw warranty should be voided for doing what any human not in diapers would do to solve a problem? Was going to let this one go and sink back into the depths, but this guy is just too uninformed... So you've cancelled all your Spyderco orders and will never buy anoth...

Because if you think that, I sure don't want your knives cluttering up my workspace. Nuff said. K, thanks for sharing, see ya! Really amazed at the number of people who can't understand the concept of "CYA" (cover your a$$). & also fail to comprehend that jst b/c they are competent en...

*I scored the unscoreable spydie !!!! When I saw this thread, I thought you were going to announce that you made the $800+ CF Para2 purchase, lol. Congrats on the black on black score! I just picked mine up on Wed from my local brick and mortar. It's funny, when I first stated looking for a Para2, ...

Kev83, They do not have any black/camo in stock, but had a few left of the other 3 variants when I went to pick mine up this afternoon. "Taking orders" is a pre-order. (I would call first if you want to try to order one listed as "in stock" now) Big thanks to Phantazm for the hea...

I did call up Bladematrix and order a black on black. Not the best prices, (I got my satin/camo at Cutlery Shoppe a few months ago for $104) but I like to buy local when I can, plus I get to hand pick! I plan to head down there tomorrow afternoon to pick up. Will update if I have any issues.

Bladematrix.com is legit. They also run Clarkknives.com and have a brick and mortar shop in Nothern KY, real nice guys.

Kind of a bummer, but no big deal. I can wait for my Cruwear Millie. I also noticed on the same site that the estimated timeframe for the 110V Native 5 CF has been pushed back. I believe it was previously expected in August, but now says "Late Fall."

I've spent lots of time in the past hunting for size comparison pics, so here's a quick and dirty one. Don't have a Sage or Manix 2, but I do have a Persistence and a Para 2, which are roughly the same sizes, next to my Chap...

I picked up a Chaparral over the Sage 1 because I felt the smaller size would be more office friendly (it is). I love it and it's my most carried knife. The carbon fiber scales seem almost indestructible. Granted, I've only had it a few months, but I often carry in my pocket without a clip with keys...

Just checking, but, you're aware of the ATR, right? (not entirely sure what you're asking, here...) I had not heard of the ATR, thanks! The comment about a cf/ti framelock para 2 made me think of this type of lock. Still pretty new to Spyderco and I've got lots of disco'd models left to discover. A...

I've imagined a "dirty" Chaparral, with more agressive jimping, some worn looking green linen or canvas micarta, and m4 or maybe cru-wear steel. Would also love to see a left hand compression lock, preferably P2 :) Also, would an integral frame/compression lock be possible??? Not likely, b...

I haven't tried Super Blue yet, but I've been very happy with my Tojiro Shirogami. Really easy to keep it razor sharp. Mine is starting to get a cool patina, almost bronze. I mainly cut up apples with this knife. Please pardon the cell phone pic:

SpyderNut, def will have to get some ZDP eventually. Been holding back, b/c I tend to just grab a SAK Cadet if I go smaller than my Chap. I imagine that I will get a Dfly or one of the Bugs eventually though. Those Super Blue Calys are still hanging around too, so much temptation, lol. Blerv, just s...

+1!

-I'm a big fan on linen and canvas micarta. I wish I was around/into knives when the micarta Calypso Jrs were in production. Cuscadi's vintage canvas is pretty sick. Love the pics of the "Dr. Jones Jr." Tenacious on their Web site.

Thanks all! Scottie, the Stretch seems like a classic, I will keep it in mind! bh49, funny you mention Kanetsune, my first "nice" kitchen knife that I alluded to above is a Kanetsugu (both made in Seki). The other is a Tojiro Shirogami petty knife in White #2. Even thought the majority of ...

Intro.

Hello all, First post here. I'm very much in the read more, post less camp, but it's a dismal rainy day in NKY so I thought I'd take some time to say hello. I've always had SAKs, but several years ago I really "discovered" the knife hobby after I got fed up with dull kitchen knives and too...
