Re: Biggest gap in the Spyderco lineup?
There are no Spyderco swords. How about a 30 inch long blade with the Military blade shape? 15v or magnacut should be fine. I'd never use a 30 inch blade, but an 18 inch Magnacut blade would be cool. I've been looking at blades on TFW(Traditional Filipino Weapons) and a few other sites for Roman sh...

Re: Biggest gap in the Spyderco lineup?
In all seriousness I do think a fixed blade Military with a roughly 6 inch blade would be fantastic, been wanting one for years. S30v, VG10, 154cm I'll take it.

Just ordered the plain edge from eBay, it's a good dealer with 100% rating. They have about a dozen available. Seller is robcoknivesllc . Evidently no longer available. But it is good to see the product getting distributed after a long wait. I'm assuming it will be more available than "a dozen...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Definitely a cool knife! I like mine a lot more since evening out the bevels. That tip area is quite thick, but cuts much better now. Hope you like it! Thank you, I'm really digging it so far, I already liked how the ergos and pocket carry felt. The pics of the Zaans y'all post here kept me on the ...

So stoked to pick this up today. I sold the tanto Umnumzaan I had in the past, the blade shape was awesome in it's own right but I just really preferred to find the drop point. Gonna have to sell my Eklipse to recoup from this one.

Re: My Folding Mule Project
I slept on this thread until just now. It feels like I just watched multiple seasons of a hit show that everyone else has seen, and I only now decided to catch up with. This is a totally awesome thread, some sick modding and craftsmanship. The compression lock mule especially is very impressive.

Got a Kershaw Iridium on the way. The duralock and KVT bearings, along with aluminum scales and D2 steel make this one a winner on paper, for $65.

Had this for almost a month now and forgot to share it here. I scratched it up a tiny bit on the stainless steel, close to the 11 marker. I was sitting on a black sand beach next to a rock and kept bumping my hand onto it, whoops.

All the knives I bought after the GSM acquisition have been up to par to the previous standards. I am thrilled that they're making a tanto in the more traditional styling.

Seriously, this is like the coolest BM ever. It feels like a Slysz Bowie with an Axis lock. Can't wait to install some aftermarket micarta. Hail the Taggedout, the BM for Spydieheads.

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
I too have the lanyard tube issue. I noticed it because I saw a nick in the edge and I knew that I didn't do it, because I pretty much haven't cut anything with the Stretch XL. Then I saw that the lanyard tube has marks on it from where the edge has been whacking it.

Re: SMKW and Spyderco Shot Show
I really think that anyone should hold it in hand and play around with it a bit, do some cutting before they make a final decision on this blade shape. To me personally it is an instant yes, hopefully the skeptics can get some time with it in person and see it up close.
