Explain Spydero sprints to a complete newb.

What are "sprints" are they the knives like the moonglow on the edcforum or what? Are they something that spyderco actually releases in limited numbers, and once they are gone they are gone? Who announces the said - "sprint" ?

I would really like to keep a plain edge to be honest. Does anyone else here carry a regular Manix 2 and find it ok for EDC. I am alittle confused to as why bladehq.com has the manix 2 at 4.25 oz, but amazon has the same knife @ 5 oz.

I like BD1, but if you don't have means to sharpen you won't like it much at all. If you don't have means to sharpen perhaps you should look that direction instead of at other knives. Also, what makes something to heavy for EDC? I don't understand this. You aren't running marathons or through hikin...

Manix 2 LW vs Native LW vs....

Which do you guys prefer. I really want to like the translucent blue Manix 2 LW but the BD1 steel bothers me. Should it? I like the ergos of the manix, feel it fits in hand almost perfectly. I much prefer the Steel on the Native LW (CPM-S30V) however. Another option, and which seems like the perfect...
