Not concerned of deploying in my pocket but concerned with losing it. I once lost it in a fold of slacks pocket. It is so light I had a **** of a time finding it. Do not carry this knife enough.

Must be my technique and not the steel. Just sharpened on the sharpmaker with a medium grit stone. I like this steel with a medium toothy edge. Guess maybe it's just personal preference.

What type of edge does VG10 like to take? I find a finer grit edge is not the best with this steel and is not one of my favorite steels to sharpen. Naturally Ayogami SB will be easier to sharpen. Would have to agree with majority regarding neglect. I have used 1095, vg10 and s30v to clean game and have yet to see any issues. I do wash my blades after though.
