Re: Schempp Kukri?

Yep Sal, this is well known especially among Gurkhas (in combat situations only), other meanings say the „Cho“ is the sign of Shiva or Kali (depending what form it has) followed by different myths … however a Kukri is more than a simple knife or tool, it‘s a piece of history and often in the middle ...

https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600q90/923/FE67b0.jpg Do you happen to remember where you got that kukri on the top? While I've been intrigued by them I've never wanted to pull the trigger on one till I saw that one. Some years ago I visited Nepal and in Kathmandu at „khukuri house“ (the man...

I've read a lot of comments on the Spyker over the years, most of them critical of the billboard on the blade.
Is there really a blade behind the billboard? I need to concentrate better when examining this piece of art ... :nerd

Re: For those who post photos - Phone or "Real" camera?

A smartphone has a tiny lens combined with mighty software, specialized to present pictures in digital world ... in most cases on tiny displays. In my eyes a simple solution handy for a majority with quality standards not on the upper end. However, to each his own. ;)

A warm welcome Sergiom! For a long time I haven‘t seen a 1st generation Delica as EDC and especially not with a serrated blade. We have some enthusiast for serrations in the forums, maybe they will chime in and give you also a welcome.

I haven't been to involved in maintaining the Spydiewiki lately, but certainly can add an entry for this.

Seeing as how it doesn't have a SKU, any suggestions for how it should be organized/categorized?
Kyle the entry for the Pirka is already done ...

Re: Spyderco catalogs and EU-import customs

Hi Peter, at least you got the catalog. I didn't get the last catalogs and reveals, although I registered several times. Hi ASF, To avoid any misunderstanding: for the catalog I did not register with Spyderco; a friendly colleague from the forums visited the SFO, he saw the reveal and the new catal...

Re: Spyderco catalogs and EU-import customs

Poor you! Maybe you Brits have another regulation ...

I guess to declare catalogs as "merchandise" makes customs authority active; besides the value declaration it's not the best wording for an item free of charge.

Spyderco catalogs and EU-import customs

Recently I have had an unpleasant surprise with Spyderco catalogs - for the second time, because the first time was in summer last year. If customs is to be paid, the post office in Austria takes care of the processing and a fee must be paid in addition to customs. So far, so good, if it weren't for...

Is MAP US only or is it enforced in other markets too?
Given the expensive level of prices in the EU, official MAP would be pretty absurd ... but who knows, maybe that will come. :zany

Hope springs eternal ... that is no longer true, it is about to die. ;) (Guess in Europe it comes to ~€ 600,-)

Re: Lanyard Hole In Spyderco Models: Important Or Not?

Most of what I see people calling a lanyard is actually a fob. Lanyard holes are used more often to add “flair” to a knife than to attach a knife to yourself to prevent loss. Considering how ocd many knife geeks are, especially the ones who add fobs and beads, I’m surprised that this is such a comm...
