Re: hawkbill dragonfly
the last few days I've been carrying the S110V PM2 clipped to my pocket, and the hawkbill ladybug in my coin pocket. This works but I would really like to reverse this. I want the world to see the small knife clipped to my pocket, and have the big knife tucked away out of sight. Thats my normal set ...

Re: Sharpening cmp s110v.
Did you use ONLY diamond stones or did you start there and progress through the others. Which stone did you stop on? Fine? I just went from the brown stones to diamond stones using a light touch. Brown to diamond? Wouldn't you go diamond to brown? Courser to less course? i use only diamond and i we...

Re: hawkbill dragonfly
I have the H1 SE Hawkbill Ladybug and the H1 PE Tasman. There needs to be a middle size. The ladybug is a great little knife, and with a lanyard it's easy to get a good grip on. But i need to be able to clip it to my pocket for it to be a practical edc (ive got way too much stuff in my pockets to go...

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
So i shot the good folks a BHQ an email and asked for an ETA on the PM2.... here's what they had to say: "While we released information on it approximately a year ago, it is going to be available this year. Tentatively, they may come in during the 3rd quarter. If you have any other questions, p...

Re: Sharpening cmp s110v.
im reading nothing but good suggestions here. I realize you are using a sharp maker, but for general discussion, i use the kme sharp system and heres what ive found about sharpening s110v. you can get the steel razor sharp, but as an fyi, i would point out that this steel holds a coarse edge (500 gr...

Re: HAP40 Dragonfly
mine is starting show the first signs of wear. a little blade play is developing (forward and back, not side to side). nothing major, but there is a noticeable tiny shift when pressure is applied (the other 3 dragonflys i have don't do this), does not hurt the functionality of knife. I've owned 4 o...

Re: hawkbill dragonfly
Honestly I wold rather have a reverse S Dragonfly than a hawkbill. How about we compromise and do both! And everything in serrated H1!!!! Glad to hear others before me have had the same thoughts on the dfly sized hawbills. i too, vote for both reverse s and hawkbill. i also vote for serrated and pl...

Re: PM2 Elmax, M390, or s30v for max sharpness?
Hi im new here. But would like to add my two cent to this. For my money I could get them all equally as sharp as the next piece of steel, assuming it is a well made and properly tempered steel. I really don't have any problem in sharpening any type of steel, been doing it for 45+yrs now. Also been co...

Re: H1 with G10
The first model is being engineered now. It is planned for release. A bit of an experiment but we have a good chance of success. sal cant wait. thanks for the info, when i started this thread i was unaware that you were going to release a knife in g10 and lc200n (i love h1 but im exited to try lc20...

Re: H1 with G10
What are the thoughts on seeing something in LC200N and G-10 (vs H1)? A smaller folding knife (2.5" blade) or larger (3" and larger)? I know the Caribbean is hopefully coming soon, but maybe we'll see other G-10 folders in the Salt line. i just posted a new thread asking sal to make a dra...

Re: How important is disassembly?
i like taking knives apart so i can make sure the pivot area is clean and not rusting, especially on the more corrosion prone super steels like zdp. but yes, some people are a little more "comfortable" taking things apart and "able" to put them back together than others.

hawkbill dragonfly
sal, would you consider making an h1 hawkbill shaped dragonfly variant or a hawkbill the same size as the dragonfly? i love the h1 hawkbill ladybug, but it would be a lot more useful if it was just a tiny bit bigger and if i was able to clip it to my pocket.

good idea, thanks!kwakster wrote:Yes, and in your case i would probably cut some pieces of MDF/hardwood to fit the stone carrier on your KME Sharpener, but freehand also works given enough practice.

Re: H1 with G10
The Caribbean will be coming in two sizes with two blade shapes with LC200N and G10. Is that a confirmed release or one of the prototypes that may never see the light of day? I've certainly been waiting for an H1 blade with G10. Unfortunately I'm unable to purchase a autonomy :( Ya when does that d...

Re: H1 with G10
I don't mind FRN for Salt knives, but I would be soooooo happy with solid G10 scales. I doubt they'd ever put liners in them but I could see solid G10 since many of the classic Spyderco knives came this way. I could live with solid G10 Liners. I would be down for a Manix XL with H1 and yellow G10 h...
