Re: K12p kitchen knife
ok ok. I bought one :D
An 8.2" VG10 Gyuto has been my favorite do it all kitchen knife. I think a variation of it that is smaller and lighter will be a nice change, though this looks to be a slightly thicker blade stock.

Love it, XL hands here. One of my favorite and most practical knives. The CF version is my personal favorite, but you will get a lot of people voting for the new FRN version. I had one of the Ti versions, but I actually didn't like it as much as the CF.

We definitely need some dark green FRN (or FRCP *wink*) out of Golden :)

Whoa. I really didn't think that would be the next Golden model to get this flavor. I might have to revisit the Yo2.

Re: More K390?
Any K390 on the horizon? Seems like there is an overwhelming love for this steel, and I am shamelessly bumping my own thread :) I have been seriously impressed with K390 performance. The Police4 is such a great design (and probably my favorite knife of 2017), but I'd really like to see K390 in somet...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
20% off at Campsaver.com using code " TWNTY20 ". Lots O' :spyder: to choose from. Interestingly you can preorder knives, including the REX PM2 (for $108!). Hard to imagine that working out, but I went for a Kapara. Code works multiple times, but only one item per order. Credit to Dutch_He...

Re: Can we Spyderco users be assured VG10 will be with us for a good long time?
I have to speculate that a lot of this depends on the situation in Japan as much as pros and cons of various steels. I could be wrong, but aren't all of the Seki City Spydercos done with Japanese Steels? Recently Seki has used S30v (Delica) and K390 (Police). I thought Sal mentioned not long ago th...

Re: Who carries their Spyderco in a pocket organizer?
Check out the Allegory EDC Front Pocket Pouch. Seems like a good concept. However, I'm a minimalist when it comes to what is in my pockets and any sort of organizer just adds bulk. I have a Maxpedition organizer that I used to transfer my kit from backpack to backpack, but switched to a simple zippe...

Re: Spyderco's + Stoves + Mess Kits?
A 12" cast iron pan is the corner stone of our car camping kit. A 15" cast iron pan with lid is the corner stone of our kitchen. We pretty much cook everything over the fire when we camp. I do bring a MSR Pocket Rocket as a backup stove, which works well with a tin foil heat shield and boi...

Re: Lil' Native Compression v.s. Lockback
Welcome to the forum!
There isn't a better knife here. IMO the lock back feels more natural on this small knife.
The Native LW is a good recommendation. Check out the Dragonfly too, which some prefer to the Lil Native. I prefer the Chaparral to both.
