byrd Robin2 G-10 and FRN are out

Just bought a G-10 Robin2. Can't wait!

ETA: And it looks like the blade is the same profile as the Robin2 stainless. Looks good!

byrd Robin 2 in G-10 and FRN release?

I also saw in the new catalog that, aside from the stainless Robin 2 listed online, that there are supposed to be G-10 and FRN Robin 2 versions, as well. I really like the blade shape better on the new version. Do we know when the G-10 Robin 2 is to become available?

I saw this in the catalog I just received in the mail. Does anyone know when these will be available?

Don't feel guilty - my cantinkerous nature caused it.

How many times did you flex yours while doing that?

Ha!

Well, I just keep looking at it and saying, "duh" to myself. I guess maybe I could keep it on my desk as a reminder to know when to stop...

Yeah, I've already asked via email about the possibility of sending it in for a fee and maybe having a new blade installed. Maybe I can pay for a new blade.

Ha - yeah, it's waved alright! I waved it good-bye!

Hmm, guess I'd better stick to screw construction.

Well, I really wasn't cranking on it, being nervous that this might happen, but I bet the repeated flexing is what did it, more than the actual force itself.

Well, I guess I learned something here...

It was actually loosening up a bit. I had it securely in a rubber-jawed vice, in past the Spyderhole, right up to the handle. I guess the rubber still allowed too much flex.

Too tight Dfly *UPDATE* big oops

So, I recently got a FRN PE Dragonfly. It had some lateral blade play when open, so I decided to tap the pin to tighten it up. Well, I gave it one tap too much, and now it is too tight for my liking. My SE FRN Dragonfly will snap shut when opened 1/4" or 1/2" or so; the one I, uh, fixed, s...
