Re: Largest Spyderco you're comfortable with?

Kapara or GB2 are as large as I carry. ****, I could probably get by with a Dog Tag eighty percent of the time.

Re: Smallest spyderco you are comfortable with?

Besides the Dog Tag on my keychain, the Chaparral / Cat is about as small as I carry these days. I have a Dragonfly but never carried it.

Nice job. Did you also polish the hardware? Looks like it has a little extra bling to it.

I like it! The original color scheme reminds me of yellow jackets... I hate yellow jackets.

Re: Need help making a decision

I'm looking for a USA made solution so the Sage 5, chaparral and the other carbon fiber SpyderCos are out of the question. :| https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Native-5-Knife-Fluted--33043 I had this knife and it was lovely back lock :( but something to consider if I can't find anything else. ...

And yet, some folks think the Taichung logos look better because they appear to be more intricate than the ones on Golden or Seki Spydercos.
That would be me. I just like the Taichung logo better and of all things the web like design.

Re: 2018 Alistair Phillips!

I am not going to add nothing new about it (and less with my poor domain of the English language ), it has been perfectly described by many of you before. To me, it’s a surprising and very well done design and it emanates quality where you look at it... The only thing that I have modified...

Hey Rob,

That stepped Ti has no curved lines. The entire design is made up of straight lines. Not only is the design unique, the machining is exquisite.

Re: Two questions for Sal regarding the Chaparral design

I like the leaf shape blade and find it aesthetically pleasing. Straightening the spine to be more of a clip point would make it less so.

I just received my Kapara this afternoon and it’s all the good stuff everybody has mentioned already. A beautiful design by Alistair and another example of Spyderco/Taichung excellence. I don’t find the lock bar overly stiff. It really has a nice balance between the lock bar stiffness and detent loa...

Unfortunately, Sal's "soon" statement was over 3 weeks ago. I'm asking for an update if one is available.

For some of us three weeks is "soon". ;) Time just goes by way too fast.
