Re: Urban Damasteel Sprint lookout thread
The Urban will apparently be available at Lamnia for 314€ https://www.lamnia.com/en/p/67686/knives/spyderco-urban-slipit-sprint-run-folding-knife-c127gpivd Shall we order one, split cost in half, and share custody? You can have it all even number months, and I will have it for the rest of the year....

Re: What "others" are in the mail?
Got another Victorinox today, a Ranger Grip 78. Nice knife. I got a similar one as a souvenir in Switzerland many years back, before the Wenger/Victorinox merger. This one is a 'NewRanger 120mm': https://i.imgur.com/qUafQIa.jpg I carried it in my travels through Germany and other countries after I ...

Re: My family of Wengers / Victorinoxes
So, here we are: 20210820_110702_copy_1651x1238.jpg 20210820_110653_copy_1651x1238.jpg Comparison of blade lengths ;) 20210820_110926_copy_1651x1238.jpg 20210820_110918_copy_1651x1238.jpg I know I once owned another mid-size, I think it was a Wenger. It was quite loaded with tools. It is MIA. Shame...

Re: What "others" are in the mail?
Got another Victorinox today, a Ranger Grip 78. SmartSelect_20220212-111240_Chrome.jpg It's big. It's illegal to carry here in Germany (one-handed opening plus locking blade). It's therefore irrational. It's got a cool button unlock, you need to push the embedded Victorinox brandmark to do it. I lov...

Re: Slysz Bowie ergonomic ?
I found it too small. I handled the bowie and K2 at new graham on a trip, and was much more pleased with the K2's handle. K2 scales are flat, while the Slysz Bowie's are slightly rounded. Everybody has its own preference which is nicer. If you have bigger hands, K2 might be more comfortable. I pref...

Re: Slysz Bowie ergonomic ?
If you're a sucker for titanium, like me, you will be in love.
For those who nit-pick: It's missing an overtravel stopper. So if you're really clumsy/stupid, you could do harm to the lockbar. Not that I've heard of anyone who managed to accomplish this....

Re: How'd you wrap your mule handles with paracord? (pics welcome)
If you feel you need more material, try double wrapping. You might remove the core on the first/inner layer, then use the standard PC for the outer layer. It works perfect for me. Just give it a go, you can always reverse it. You just need to use different holes for the start....

Re: 4000 lumen blaster on my keychain: Nitecore T4K
I own TIP, TIP SE, Tube, Thumb, Tini 1, TUP, and now the T4K. I don't know what it is, tiny yet high quality flashlights get me... TIP, Tube and Thumb are more for shortest distance keyhole illumination. If you are in a pitch black area, they'll lighten up your surroundings just enough. Tini, TIP SE...

Re: Michael Janich on the Stovepipe
It is odd at first glace, but beautiful if you look at the details, and the whole thing for longer. All that can afford one should go for it.
If I had the money, I'd be all over it. Would fit perfectly next to my K2 and Slysz Bowie.
I enjoyed the interview, Michael is very good at this.

Re: 4000 lumen blaster on my keychain: Nitecore T4K
No, there's no strobe. But if you look directly into such a bright light, there's no need for flashing... Strobe is irritating. Bright light is blinding. In my opinion, that's good enough.

Re: 4000 lumen blaster on my keychain: Nitecore T4K
Beam intensity is only 10900 candela though. 4000 lumens is impressive, but I stand with Rusty that the marketing is kind of corny. This isn't brighter than the hotspot on most other flashlights. More illumination, but not brighter. It is not supposed to have a super bright spot = high range. Trust...
