I'd rather see something between the Chief and the 5 in the Native family.

Urban and Roadie, a serious dark horse in the lineup. Cannot wait for the Roadie XL. :grin-smiling-eyes

Re: LeafJumper

Exciting thread. I have a SE RockJumper and will probably add a few more if they become available in K390 or LC200N Salt. LeafJumper will be great as well…a nice companion to the LW Caly 3.5!

3rd on the RockJumper. Smoothest back lock I've used. UKPK, Manix 2, Native (Chief), Sage 5 LW. The bushing makes for an amazing action.

Re: Good Video: Top 10 Spyderco Knives - 2021

- I always forget about the Atlantic. And when I get reminded always think of getting one and doing a wharnie mod (not MY idea at all, but I even started a thread about this: https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88063). It looks to have really similar ergos to a PM2, perhaps just "better...

Re: Hungarian lightweight

I'll see if I can take a top-down one with a scale that will be much more poorly lit but hopefully a more accurate comparison. This is still a little off but better; it's at least top-down level per my phone's sensor. The interesting thing to me here is that the Astute has about as much cutting edg...

Re: Hungarian lightweight

It seems like the only time we ever hear about the Astute is when someone is complaining about it not coming in a trendier steel. It's not getting upgraded . My advice would be to just buy the 8CR model if you like the design. --- On the Hungarian, my original posts from this thread still stand! It...

Love the Astute and that finish mod on your Hungarian is 🔥🔥🔥. I would take a Sprint with that config any day.

Re: Hungarian lightweight

Reviving a necro thread here. Would still love to see this "lightweight" design come to light. Standard G10 over steel liners and XHP would be a winning combination in this design. That or an upgraded Astute. 😹

Re: CTS BD1N Contoured PM2

I agree that BD1N is a strange choice. Not a great steel in my experience especially compared to all of the super steels the PM2 has been offered in. As said: I was really positively surprosed with BD1N and like it a lot. But I agree that it would be a "strange" (not like in "bad&quo...

Re: Urban size discussion

Based on the fact we'll get the UKPK 3” and Metropolitan 2.75” my vote is to downgrade the Urban to 2.5” (despite my preference for the 2.6” blade shape). My only request would be full back spacers for all the Slipits. The Roadie and Urban feel better in action and balance to me vs the UKPK. Looking...

Re: Fully serrated Native Chief

A Cruwear Micarta Native Chief would be amazing. Already linerless so nothing to mess with there, and it seems like a great platform for the steel. PE and SE.

Laminated Blade Steel

I have laminated steel blades for my kitchen, and they work great for the specific usage. I only have mono steel blades for EDC though I'd be agreeable to trying one out in the right platform [cough, cough, Caly 3.5]. What are your thoughts/experience with laminated steel knife blades?

I'm in for any variation with the original (Pac 1) handle. Would love to see regular production LC200N in PE and SE.
