Re: A question to Mr. Glesser about "the Maxamet situation"

Yeah I seen a Maxamet Para 3 go for $270 recently so when eBay offered the 15% off coupon I jumped on one for $265 at $225 total. I was frustrated not getting a Rex so I got the Maxamet but then the following day I got a Rex from BHQ lol. I'm going to let Maxamet patina and I'll keep Rex oiled but ...

Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm

I am so glad to read that others carry their Para 3 tip down. I carry my Para 2 that way as well. For me, tip up requires me to walk my fingers down to the pivot before deploying it. I prefer to be closer to the pivot when it comes out of the pocket. And when the clip is on the pivot end of the kni...

Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm

I also think it’s perfect (for me). Clip is nonissue bc I rotate them to tip down carry. This model provides a lot of steel options. It’s a blade length that is allowed by my employer. I feel I have slight more control of fine cutting tasks over the pm2 due to blade length. And it doesn’t scare my w...

Re: Lil Native what shall be the 1st Sprint?

I would like to see blurple g10 s110v or red g10 m390. We have had a lot of exciting tool steels lately but I think a blade this size doesn’t need much edge stability. I also think most of us will carry this as a lightweight gentleman or secondary backup.

Re: CPM Rex 45 Para 2 !!

I spoke with a knife retailer (that has their very own dealer exclusive) and was told that their first shipment of the PM2 was 5 per retailer. More will come. Not sure if there is any truth to this but I want to believe so. I hope it’s the same for other retailers.

Hardware swap between s90v and 204p. I like the looks of the REC much better with silver hardware. Same for the s90v.

s110v vs. m390 corrosion resistance

Calling all metallurgists and steel snobs: which has better corrosion resistance and why... s110v or m390. I’m thinking m390 due to the 20% chromium.

Re: Para 3 exclusive at River's Edge Cutlery

Got mine as well. I like it a lot. Surprisingly my wife also likes it better than any other (all) para 3 models I have in my possession. Personally I wish it was silver hardware. I may do a swap with the s90v sprint and give each model a distinct look. Goes to show that everyone has there preference...

Re: RIT dye and Blade Swap teaser

Thanks the pics really don’t do it justice. It really is something unique.

Cleaned scales with iso prop alc. 2 cups distilled water. 1 tbls of rit synthetic sapphire blue. Kept water at even 95 degrees Celsius. Jigged the scales in the dye for 2 minutes. Rinsed with cold water.

Re: RIT dye and Blade Swap teaser

Blade and hardware swap between to m4 exclusives. My first RIT due job turned out pretty cool. I saw the bladehq video of the natural g10 dyed to a translucent blue and wanted to try the same. The black carbon fiber and dlc m4 is also superb.
