I wondered what they originally sold for! I might have picked one up for that original amount! :)

I hope they chime in here and give you an answer to the price hike!

Re: CBN Rods

Guys, Is someone able to point out the pros/cons of the Diamond vs CBN rods for bringing back dull knives than utilising the medium and fine stones. I've read the thread but I don't believe there is a clear answer on which rod is superior in terms of durability and grit etc. I am waiting for the an...

Re: Sharpmaker question

I like the the blade some what toothy so I would stop at the mediums. It is plenty sharp by then to cut anything I run across! :)

I use a DMT Aligner. I got it because it was reasonably priced and because it has diamond stones. I seem to end up with a lot of knives with poor factory grinds and I need to reprofile them. I can do it relatively quickly with the Aligner. I picked up one to try for the exact same reasons and it se...

That's good to know. I wish Spyderco had this size H1 blade in FFG.

This was a clip traded off a Rescue model that came shiny. I have just sanded clips, though. Use finer stuff, then even finer, and maybe a polish. I speeded some up with my Dremel tool. It has sanding drums. You still need to use some elbow grease. That's how I did it, but others have used paint re...

Yep I do. I have a couple of PM2'S, couple Salt 1's (a PE and a SE), two Delica's in case I lose or damage one. :)

I also have two Manix XL's (s90 and s30 not coated) but I will be getting rid of them as they are alittle to big for my liking regarding EDC.

Has anyone done this to a Salt 1? If so, please post pics of the mod.

I have a Salt 1 and found some 80 grit Aluminum oxide sand paper that I was going to try this on but the hump looks a little more pronounced on the Salt 1 as it is a shorter knife.

Thx.

I would second this idea of just removing about an 1/8 inch from a PM2! I have a PM2 CTS-204P that was ground down to just under the three inch mark and I am happy cause I can legally carry it! :) Send me a Para or Para 2 and I can make it legal. Here's my old Para 1 that I made 3 inch legal (it was...

sir_mike, mine sat on my dresser for over a year just looking pretty and got carried very little. Couldn't bring myself to sell it because it is such a good knife but it was just a bit too long for my liking. The modification got it down to sub 3" and it's in my pocket about 5-6 days a week no...
