Re: Forum Knife Action Problems??

Try washing it out around the blade and pivot with some warm soap and water. Once its dry follow up with a few drops of your oil of choice. Mineral oil, nano oil, gun oil etc. I have had several spydies that were too tight or gritty and this has fixed almost all of them.

DLC Zero [0] Gone

Do we know what the run number of these was?
Speculation but probably 1200 pcs split as 600 of each flavor.

Re: Do most of us need larger knives?

Knife size for me is entirely task dependent. I Have been carrying my 204p military daily for a few weeks now and for some things it does seem like a bit much, opening mail for example. When I skin or cape deer i like smaller blades for dexterity and what i feel is less margin of error. When I do foo...

Re: What would make you buy more Spyderco fixed blades?

As has been said, price point but also US Made, Blade shapes and steels focused on intended purpose like stainless for skinning and filleting. But tougher 3v 4v Rex steels for Camping and chopping with thick spines and choils for sparking a flint. Sheaths that are durable and offer versatile mountin...

Used to carry a rift around, now a partially serrated grip for yardwork. Plus a frost cutlery toothpick knockoff a friend gave me for my nails because it weighs nothing.

Re: Combo Edges Truly Getting A Bad Rap IMO

Ha, I almost created a thread on this topic, i find combo edges particularly useful at my job because i slit open tons of boxes but also cut lots of polymer strapping. The plain edge is delicate but the back teeth give it more power.

Wish spyderco made more of them.

Re: Heirloom Spyders?

Not to go too far away from Spyderco being at the root of the discussion but for me heirlooms in general are things tied to a specific person or memory. My dads hunting rifle, his Boy scout pocket knife from the late 50’s, my Damascus Robert Klass lockback I picked up in Munich. These are small thin...

Re: How can one become member of a "Collector's Club"?

I think its a great idea, unique and different from other collector clubs. I wish you could just pick a favorite model or two. Like military and PM2 and just get those. Would hate to be shelling out money monthly or weekly on whole boxes of ladybugs, tenacious’s and dragonflys that just had the scale...
