If you don’t mind me asking how did you go about ordering with pops customs . I just checked their website and it says they’re on a break trying to catch up on orders. .
Last order I placed with Pops was summer 2018. It took a long time for them to ship it, but I knew that going in.

Re: Abel Native5

If the fish scales were merely a coat of paint applied to the titanium scales, I'd tend to agree with you, But, from what I understand, there's no "paint" involved, it's a multi color anodizing process done by hand. That's time consuming work that takes a talented artist who also knows a ...

Re: Smock Anticipation

Received mine a couple days ago. I was prepared to be let down by this one, but instead it was a nice surprise. Ergos are decent and the flipper tab design works well. So far I've not had any slippage issues with the tab using my index or thumb. The slim design is the big winner for me. The Smock ju...

Re: Anyone else have an edc that you didn’t expect?

Sliverax. Even though it sucks as a flipper with the super-weak detent it has excellent ergos and the negative blade angle works so well for a variety of tasks.

Re: New reveal policy: is it the end of an era?

I don't have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. None of those trendy things. I use this forum as my source, and have yet to miss ANY exclusive or sprint release since I've been here for close to a year now! This place is so on top of things, no need for anything else when it comes to Spyderco's Your pos...

Re: What's the big deal with this Kapara ?

I loved it, but I found the handle to be too thin(height) for me and it pinched my hand when I opened it. If it was taller and the lock was moved slighty, It would have been perfect for me. If your hand fits it right, it will be glorious!!! Agree with this assessment. It's a good design but not a g...

Threads like this is one of the reasons why Spyderco has said no more pre-announcements or updates about new models.

Re: Spyderco Military and Paramilitary in LC100N and FRN: My new grails.

I’m confused... Can something that doesn’t exist be a grail? I thought grails are something you hoped to own but don’t due to price or scarcity, etc.

Re: Spyderco 2018 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Am I missing it or is the Knifeworks Paramilitary 2 C81GPGR2 Forest Green CTS-204P not on the list? This is shipping on 12/26 according to the KW website: https://www.knifeworks.com/new/spyderco-para-military-2-foliage-green-g10-cts-204p-carpenter-steel-knifeworks-limited-exclusive.html Its a re-ru...

Re: Spyderco and Abel join forces

I would like to see one in person as well.

The Native titanium was $420 MSRP so assuming Abel is asking MSRP I don't think the price is out of line considering how tiny the number made will likely be and all the labor in the anodizing.

Re: Knives you didn't expect to like so much, or vice versa

Pleasant surprise: Sliverax - like it so much it earned a spot in my EDC rotation. It fits the hand so well and the slightly negative blade angle makes cutting tasks a breeze. Really hoping there is a sprint/exclusive in the future. Runner-up: Lil Nilakka - Flash batch "collectability" be ...

Re: Smock Flipper

I cancelled my preorder last week. The button compression lock is the most interesting thing about this model. I hope Spyderco introduces it elsewhere. The "Smock" look was always borderline for me and there are more intriguing things coming (eg Paul Alexander Ikuchi).

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips

I have to admit that $25 for a small piece of metal with a bend in it seems quite excessive. You can buy a titanium spork from Amazon for $8 that has a lot more material. It's too bad they couldn't come to some sort of licensing agreement. Spyderco could make stainless ones for 30 cents a piece, gi...

Re: Help me pick a Spydie flipper, please

I didn't even know about the Smock before. It looks good, if a bit on the large side. I find myself not carrying my larger knives, these days. (Desk job) That has me leaning more toward the Mantra 2 and 3. The Mantra 2 had the slimmer pocket profile, but had some issues, which I'm not sure will eve...
