What is the trick to not blunting your tips on a stone when free hand sharpening. Big and heavy will be the number 1 complaint. Pocket hog and the jumping being excessive too. More of a use for extended periods of time kind of knife

It's most commonly used in Japanese kitchen knives. Takes a screaming sharp edge easily, rusts easily, but takes a nice patina.
