Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm

I love my Para 3. It's my favorite knife (though only slightly ahead of my PM2...this week, anyway), and I haven't been bugged by the ride height with the standard clip. That said, I do think the clip/tube design is a bit awkward. I can only guess that the large tube was retained as a Military/PM2 i...

Re: How and Where i carry my Spyderco delica 4.

I used to carry a knife inside my waistband, just forward of my right rear pocket (same position you'd find a holster). May have to try that again.

Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm

After buying the Dragonfly 2 (my first Spyderco), the next one I really liked was the Para 3. I even mentioned somewhere in the forum that it would probably be the perfect EDC knife for me, but I didn't buy it right away. Instead, I bought a PM2, a Native 4 LW, and a Chaparral LW, thinking I'd event...

Re: Who carries their Spyderco in a pocket organizer?

I carry two Raven Concealment Pocket Shields. They are flexible plastic panels which you can clip, tie, or screw things to. The one on my right side has a Spyderco Pacific Salt Black FRN PE and an ASP P16 Airweight baton. The one on my left side has a Thrunite T10T, a Victorinox Tinker in Black wit...

1398BE4D-724E-4F35-81D8-C6D364E2576C.jpegGoogle Popov Leather in Canada. Sells “pocket armor” in two sizes. Here’s a small with something you can probably identify.

That looks great! I'm already familiar with Popov for wallets, and will definitely check out his other stuff.

I will gladly buy from them again (heck, maybe even another one of these), and I have no complaints or regrets. I really like this knife.

Re: DAAAAAANG!!! (Para 3 M390)

Thinking of getting one. How do you like the cutting performance and sharpening ease? I’m still just a consumer, so I can’t speak to sharpening yet. It’s my understanding that it’s marginally easier than S110V, but still a chore. The cutting performance (boxes today) was impressive. I no longer hav...

Well, the Para 3 buggered up my plans.

I was keeping a spreadsheet of all the Spyderco knives I want to buy, and it was pretty varied (kind of a one-of-each list). Since getting my BBS M390 Para 3 yesterday, now I'm only wanting to buy more Para 3s in other configs. I'll still buy a Delica and a black Pacific Salt SE, but I'm suddenly mu...

Re: BaliYo

I spotted a Flip Finz (flipfinz.com) toy at Target last weekend. That might be a good option for a fidget toy if you're not going to use the pen. Now I wonder how long it'll be before most kids know how to use a butterfly knife.

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Spyderco knives?

Neither my Chaparral LW nor Native 5 LW blew me away initially (and still don’t), but they are both growing on me. I appreciate them more now for what they are. My basic black PM2 and my brand new Para 3 M390, on the other hand, were (and are) nothing short of awesome. They make me want more!

DAAAAAANG!!! (Para 3 M390)

My friendly neighborhood mail carrier just dropped by with a delivery from Bento Box...my new Para 3 in M390. I'm stunned! It's my fifth Spyderco and my first Para 3, and I'm in love. Fit and finish is amazing (could it be flawless?), and it's crazy sharp. I especially like the rounded edges o...

Re: My Manix 2 just broke :( [update: fixed!]

That's a definite improvement, well done! Well, it's an improvement to being broken. Other than maybe looking cooler this is not really an "upgrade" over the plastic cage. As Sal mentioned, the newer cages don't break. This is a little gritty compared to the old lock as it's not as smooth...
