If there is a model you really like you could always smooth out the G10. Some, a lot, totally smooth, or only under the pocket clip. Might expand you options. Just a thought. Ken I appreciate the excellent suggestion. Another knife nut sergeant suggest the same thing last week. He said he did that ...

Our department officially approved a knife as a back up weapon around 5 years ago. In order for us to carry one, we had to take a week of instruction. The department also listed some criteria regarding the size of the knife (basically anything under 5" blade, fixed or folding), and stated it sh...

So far I only have a Catcherman and a yellow Pacific serrated. I don't carry the Pacific. But it stays on the counter and I use it every day in the kitchen. I really want to get a Salt I plain edge and an Aqua. The Catcherman goes with me everytime I go fishing. :D

I work detective bureau. Many of the knives I'd like to carry, I don't, because they are too heavy or too harsh on my dress pants. I love G-10 but it really wears on my pockets. I've been carrying a Sage carbon fiber for the past year. It's an excellent choice for me. Great steel. Awsome ergonomics ...

Welcome to the forums. I haven't been able to check in here as much as I used to. But it's nice to return and find so many Ohioans here.

I recently moved to near Lodi from Akron. I've already made several trips to Fin, Feather, Fur. Great store.

I like and agree with what many have already said here. But I would add that I like to use all my knives. Some more than others. I also change knives at least twice daily, during the work week. In the mornings, I have knives that I prefer to carry when working around the house or out in the yard. Lo...

I'm so sick and tired of weenies like this! They are insane! "Leonard Lane, president of FATHERS said, "We want to put that fear back into our children, teaching them what guns can do, how they affect their community." Funny... I've been teaching my kids what guns can do, by shooting ...

I baby a lot of my knives. I use them, but I keep them clean and I'm careful with handling them so they don't get scratched up. But I'm not like that with my Manix and Millie. Something about them just feel like they are made to take on anything. When I'm working around the house or yard, I've usual...

I gotta say, it's not my favorite Spyderco knife, but I've gotten more use (and abuse) out of my serrated s30v Millie than anything else. It's truly a work horse for me. It's what I put in my pocket whenever I'm working around the house or out in the yard. I've used it to cut 2" roots when digg...

Don't the latest sheaths have the G-clips?

My Moran has the G-clip and I really like it. It seems less bulky than the Tec-Loc, and can be attached without a belt.

Thanks for the post Hannibal. I've had my eye on this knife for quite a while.

I know I've mentioned it several times, but an H1 FB fillet knife would be so awsome!

I've never heard any mention of one from Spyderco, though. I'm curious if they've ever entertained the idea, or if they just do not think they would be a big seller.

I often, but not always, carry two. I may try to have one PE and one SE. But more often I carry one long blade, and one shorter blade. It usually depends on where I'm going, and what I'm wearing. Combinations I love are: Dodo SE -- Military PE Cricket PE or SE -- Military PE Cricket SE -- Ocelot PE ...
