Re: How can you tell if black dlc blades are corroding?
The rust still looks like rust, but it is fairly easy to remove in my experience. My M4 DLC PM2 was my EDC outside of the office since it dropped until the REX45 dropped (which took it's role so far). It was my yard work/project/camping/hiking beater. I treat my knives like knives, but I didn't go o...

Re: Manix2 4v marbled carbon fiber exclusive
Love seeing 4v and marbled CF. Definitely confused by the grind choice, but I might have to get one anyway. I enjoy hollow grinds, but the Manix blade shape really screams FFG IMO.

Interesting. I have had a few PM2s were that edge on the hole was uncomfortably sharp. I hadn't noticed this, but looking back it is a pretty noticeable change on all the new ones.

I'll be very happy when the REX45 drops, but I'm still waiting for the BHQ M4 DLC.

Re: REX45 + Sharpmaker: wise or foolish?
I've reprofiled M4 and S110v and others using only a SM and the Diamond rods with great success. However, do set aside pretty much an entire evening.
Touch ups are easy of course, and I've done REX45 a few times now on the SM and it works great as always.

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread
The 3.5 was a Caly 3 designed for me. I prefer a longer blade. I'm currently experimenting with a possible Caly 3.5 in a light weight with nested liners like the Endura. Bi directional texture, with another maker. We usually don't like to change makers, but if the FRN version is popular, we'll need...

Re: Thinking about an Endura
Police 4 is a slicing machine, and wood handle those freakishly large honeycrips with ease. Same stock as the Endura.
