Re: Caribbean different scales
LFP = Phone + Keys (sometimes) RFP = Knife (Delica) + Wallet LBP = Nothing RBP = Nothing It's also not difficult to wear a tutu, but I'm not going to do it because I don't feel like doing it. I'd rather wear expensive-a$$ jeans, well, because I feel like that too. Finding a spyderco design that work...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.
Lots of great points here. Like Abbazaba, I have long wondered why the lock cutouts do not always go on the inside. Seems to solve the clip issue and it is more ergonomic. Like EvilD, I wish collaborations just came with Spyderco clips. I have been underwhelmed with multiple clips on collaborations...

Awesome and congratulations. I missed saying this in your previous thread because I was on my own baby hiatus.

Re: Selling knives
I would also encourage using PP goods and services. First, you get the protection. Second, I like to use things how they were intended, and it seems like the right thing to do if I'm selling something.

Re: Caribbean different scales
I'm always surprised at people having issues with pocket space. What else are you folks carrying in your knife pocket? I rarely carry anything else in that picket so my knife can have as much room as it needs, especially if it means the knife will in turn be more comfortable in my hand when I'm usi...

Re: Caribbean different scales
I carry RFP with jeans or khakis. I also carry my wallet in that pocket. I am also a bit picky about how a knife carries and draws because in my experience it spends most of its life in the pocket. @LB93 sorry for the assumption, just know that I respect you as a fellow knife Knut regardless of gend...

Re: Caribbean different scales
i’ve said a lot about the looks of this knife, but another issue (for me) is the width of the handle at the butt end. one of the things i love so much about the manix is that it gives a full grip, but tapers at the end, which makes for a really nice and unobtrusive entryway into the pocket when the...

Re: Caribbean different scales
I’m ok with both grooves and contouring, but I don’t see the grooves as being needed with an improved hand-fitting shape. Secure ergonomics don’t always require groves or other retention features, take most fixed blades for instance. This is doubly true in cases where you’re not taking shocks from c...

Re: Caribbean different scales
I have one in the bubble bee scales. It's not my favorite but I don't mind. If they did another scale I'd like to see a top to bottom contour as opposed to the milled ridges. If they're going to spend time milling, may as well be to make it more hand fitting (like the d'allara).

Re: Consumer vs Industry Standards for Spyderco?
Demoncase has put it well. To Joe's point, spyderco doesn't actually control a ton of their upstream manufacturing compared to some others. I'm not saying they should, a handheld knife just doesn't demand that level of control. My coworker used to work for YKK zipper, and they actually owned their o...

Re: Massdrop SG2 Delica shipped??!?
This thing is going straight in my pocket, but I probably don't cut enough stuff to get good data on the steel in a timely fashion (or to actually tell). I mainly got it because the Delica is my favorite EDC, it's a new STAINLESS steel, and I actually don't have a black delica strangely enough. Plus...

Re: Consumer vs Industry Standards for Spyderco?
As stated, the comparison is not rigorous enough to declare true or false. There is not one set if standards for all “industry.” Whether it not they hold tighter tolerances than another company is unknown, or whether they are more reliable from a statistical standpoint. It seems like they were refer...

Massdrop SG2 Delica...arrived!!
 Just got an email saying my massdrop super gold Delica has shipped! I joined this drop on April 3, 2018, so it looks like I’ll get this one in less than a year!
Pumped! (It was ordering this knife which jarred me out of a several-year hiatus from this forum.) :D

Re: Selling knives
Pay for an upgraded membership at bladeforums. You'll get a higher sales price on ebay probably but it'll get eaten up by the fee. There are other options and I'm sure people will chime in.

Re: Step Child
I have no step children, but my wife was one. She said: “oh yea, we pulled that s**t on my stepmom a few times. Kids are jerks.” Heck, even my 3 year old daughter said to me recently: “mommy loves me, you don’t love me, I love mommy not you.” She literally said this apropos to nothing and she wasn’t...

First initial last name. I didn’t have any better ideas and it didn’t seem like something worth agonizing over.

It’ll last longer than me anyway. I have at least 3 lifetimes worth of delicas!
