Re: Are you cheating on the bug?
I've said it before, but my number one is, and at this rate always will be, the leatherman skeletool. Others I like are benchmade griptilian, CRKT M16, and two prized fixed blades, a USMC kabar and a Randall model 3-6. Spyderco is my favorite overall brand still, in large part because of the forum a...

I mean it's exciting to get one you've been looking forward to and a bit disappointing if you miss out, but that's all.

Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?
I mean if we're keeping up with the army uniform changes they'd all be sprint runs anyway
I'd assume availability of g10 is the biggest factor.

I'd probably get 2, whether full sized or more of a folding homage to the blade
Every example I've ever seen is single edged, sometimes people would hold it by the top so as to use the tip for fine work.

I'd love to see a new ethnic series knife based off what I know as a hmong knife, really its just a common design throughout se Asia.

Re: People still like Benchmade?
Well, to be fair I believe part of it is people getting too stuck in their respective camps and overly defensive so unless you happen to like both brands you don't see much interest in the other. Coming from the Marines I can say of the higher end knives benchmade pretty much rules the US military m...

Scrub with soap and water, if that doesn't help cover it in baking soda and let it sit for a few hours then rinse.

As long as I liked the knife certainly. I particularly like the BBS blue g10, just not the biggest fan of their customer service approach.

Re: Caribbean Detent
http://i.imgur.com/vZauYWw.jpg I increased the detent on my Sliverax tonight. I measured it with my trigger pull gauge before I took it apart and it was at 17 oz, which is fairly light. I used the diamond burr in the picture and chamfered the hole a little at a time until it was at 28 oz. It's much...

Re: Para 3 exclusive at River's Edge Cutlery
I'm kind of hoping they switch to m390 or 20cv (supposedly there's an issue getting 204p in small sprint/exclusive quantities) and make another batch just to end this aftermarket craziness.

Re: 1 new Military released all of 2018?
^ this. I love the feel mine, but if I'm honest with myself the overwhelming majority of cutting I do anymore is easily done with a small knife, and could arguably be done as well if not better with just scissors. Constantly on the fence of letting it go.

Re: Help! Need a Sharpener
If by chance you're a Marine *and* will have access to your bayonet we have a little ceramic rod on the back of the sheath that is often over looked. Not the greatest option but if you have to carry it already may as well use it. Otherwise I'd suggest sharpmaker like the others have said, it's a com...

Re: These videos of knife locks failing.
The only useful thing I saw in those videos is that, assuming proper use, any lock type should be sufficient. Unless they manage to get a hold of each sage variation (and willingly destroy them) or make something it's hard to do any kind of good test.

Re: Really Happy with my new Meerkat in HAP40
Honestly I got mine mostly to mess with people with the lock, but was pleasantly surprised to find I like carrying it too. I actually like that it's about the same thickness as full size spyder knives, makes it fill the hand really well.

Too bad there is not an h1 dyad. I'd be curious to see a good test of both pe and se and throw in lc200n just to see the actual differences.

Re: Would you buy more or less Spydercos if they were all made in the same steel?
I'd be about the same I suppose. If I know something is or will be available in a interesting steel I might get that one instead. But looking at it, my steel selection is more coincidental than anything. The only ones I specifically got for the steel is the Hap40 jazzlica and spydiechef. Kind of rel...
