Re: Salt Series UKPK
I would love a ukpk salt and I think it should be the same frn as the rest of the salt line. Frn works well for lightweight strong scales and no problems with liners etc for corrosion. Ill take three Sal. A folding fillet knife as well thanks, no harm in asking I suppose. :D

Re: Lc200n Dragonfly 2
Using my lc200n mule has been a revelation. Being subjected to extreme abuse in a saltwater environment seems to have no impact whatsoever. When left in the dinghy for more than a week you can still shave with it. I have s110v s90v s30v and nc690 that I have tried to use in this same role. After thr...

Re: Lc200n Dragonfly 2
Hi Sal, ingenious innovative products have a tendency to age rather well. I think this is especially true of successful designs that spawn a whole new genre within their respective fields. This aspect of product evolution is much more evident in the digital age as ideas are easily and rapidly commun...

Lc200n Dragonfly 2
Hi All I would like to discuss the idea of an lc200n Dragonfly 2. The Dragonfly 2 is one of my favourite spyderco's. The big little knife that dissapears in your pocket. The ergonomics of this fantastic little knife suit those with larger hands looking for a small handy blade that is so light you ha...

Re: The CATCHERMAN: The TIME HAS COME
Thanks JDspydo im sure youve had a great run with the catcherman. My particular situation however means i cannot spare fresh water to rinse knives. My salt knives get jammed into the sand in shallow salt water to clean off fish remains and put back in my pocket and are never rinsed in fresh water. I...

Re: The CATCHERMAN: The TIME HAS COME
Possible reason for low sales of previous catcherman models is the lack of a corrosion proof salt model. A knife designed for fishing that rusts just doesnt make sense to me. In australia the vast majority of fishing is in saltwater. A knife designed for fishing that corrodes, especially in a folder...

Re: The CATCHERMAN: The TIME HAS COME
I think a catcherman in lc200n plain edge would be a great knife and is what the catcherman has been waiting for, a corrosion proof steel with good edge retention. Count me in ! An lc200n fillet knife is a definite must have, a folding frn spyderco would be the ultimate fishing knife.

Re: Swick 5 Wharnie in LC200N
Im on board for this knife. A great mariners knife with the finger hole for security and the lc200n for corrosion resistance. Think i would have preferred the leaf blade but will definitely get a wharnie. I suggested a leaf bladed swick with a slightly longer cutting edge some time ago so it will be...

Re: Is the Dragonfly Obsolete?
The dragonfly is my favourite spyderco. Its one of the lightest and smallest knives that fills your hand and has enough blade for the size of the knife. I bought the chapparal after looking at the specs as the OP pointed out they are very similar and i was hoping for the same experience in a slightl...

Re: Time Frame for LC200N Knives?
An lc200n dragonfly would be at the top of my list always. A small blade that is so light as to barely be noticeable yet invaluable. The dragonfly salt was my first spyderco and still my favourite. Perhaps an exclusive sal, lc200n and the great dragonfly design, an unbeatable combination. I live in ...

Re: Living in the South Pacific: Is it paradise-like?
Hi SEF I grew up in Darwin Australia and left when i was 41 years old. I went to Queensland and built myself a sailing catamaran so I can migrate up and down the great barrier reef each year with the seasons. Never too hot never to cold and living mainly off the land and I think it's as close to par...

Hi Sal I would definitely grab one if you have one spare, always need a good fillet knife and don't have a spyderco one. I could think of nothing better. Pm me if you have 1 spare as i would love one. How's the boat business going over there, I am selling quite a few plans in the US, seems like the ...
