Love the looks of CF, but vastly prefer the texture and feel of G10. For that reason I'd prefer G10 almost every time. Then again, if the ergonomics of the knife are strong enough that scale texture doesn't change grip strength any, then I'd also throw in polished G10 and even micarta as favorites. ...

So, to get back to this little project, here's what I have so far. I bought some aluminum rod and started cutting it down to size and grinding the ends to fit into my Edge Pro. Then I looked over at the EP, and it dawned on me....why not just wrap sandpaper around the guide rod itself?? So that's wh...

I think of this question more along the lines of what knives I have enjoyed the most, and I got that enjoyment in part because of the steel they had, so in no particular order: CTS-20CP - Because of my 20CP Para 2 CPM-M4 - Because of my Manix 2 sprint CTS-204P - Because of my Southard I've found all...

Well that makes some sense I was unaware of your Titanium Cranium. I was not crazy about the brown either in fact I had no interest until I saw this video. I like it, even the little piece of G10 looks better in black but before I dive in I would like to see it in person just to see how the lock si...

I'm glad there's so much interest! Personally I never understood why there isn't more. I've always felt both these knives were light years better than the Delica and don't understand why the Delica wasn't made obsolete by this knife. I guess the Delica is a bit more robust and you could argue that ...

Why does everyone want super blue in everything? I don't think it's better than ZDP, plus the handle color (light gray) attracts major dirt. ZDP-189 Centofante 3 or 4 with Burgundy or Navy handles.....would be great. I think just because it seems to be one of the only higher end steel options from ...

I think knife companies just saw serrated edges as a new market to branch off into to sell more knives. They were first advertised as a means to cut seat belts for law enforcement and Rescue personel. However if you ask most how many times they have had to use a serrated edged knife or seat belt cu...

A Cento 3 or 4 with a lanyard hole would probably be my ultimate Spyderco! Sadly for me, that is probably unlikely. Perhaps I will commission a mod one day. These are great knives! I am surprised they do not get more attention. There's probably enough room in the butt of the handle to drill a 3/16 ...

Ouch. I'd get nervous, too, if I was down to only one C4. Maybe the Kiwi 4 will fill the hole in the lineup for a slim, classy EDC Wharnecliff that performs. Yes, I remember the Air, but it's just a touch too small for me with my wide hands and fat fingers. Right now, if I was C4-less, I'd probably...

Honestly I would even be content with a standard run of Centofante 4s with the same old black and VG10 just so I can buy a new backup for mine. I don't use it much because they're discontinued, so any version of a Centofante 4 with just about any steel VG10 or better will be a purchase from me so lo...

My longest running EDC item of all time
March 3rd marked the 14th birthday to the longest running daily carried item that I've ever owned. I was given this little tap knife March 3, 2000, the first day on the job and I've carried it everyday since then. It does all the dirty work that I wouldn't use my pocket knife for, and is the "p...

I carry an old Harley Davidson tri-fold chain wallet that my oldest brother gave me probably 10 years ago. I'm not really a Harley kind of guy, but this wallet has a lot of sentimental value, and the **** thing is so well built that it will probably live longer than I do. I've taken the chain off, b...
