Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

Optics Planet just sent me a notice that my order Backorder from April 4, 2018 for a Para 3 Maxamet is in stock. I ordered it with a 10% coupon back then for $153.00. New Para 3's maxamet run must be trickling out. I see they jumped the price from 170.00 to 191.75 per Spyderco's price increase. Stil...

Re: Manual Folders, not classic, but, not one-hand-opening: Your favorites?

Another feature I look for on manual knives is the "walk & talk". I like that the blade just doesn't slam shut on your fingers in case you inadvertently reverse direction on your cut or while returning the blade into the knife. I've got a couple of Opinels that are honestly the best ba...

Re: Manual Folders, not classic, but, not one-hand-opening: Your favorites?

In a manual folder with a nail-nick, I prefer a blade with room to use a pinch grip to deploy the blade. I recently purchase a Lion Steel Shuffler from CollectorKnives that ticked all my boxes. On knives with a strong detent nail-nicks cause havoc with my thumbnails. This is the model I picked up. C...

Re: Ikuchi - fantastic knife!

My only gripe was it made my index fingers sore from constant flipping until they hardened up. lol But try as I might I couldn't put it down. Fidget factor 100. Then I came up with what I call the Peacemaker deployment. Basically you hold it in one hand and "fan" the wheel with the heel of...

Re: Bar B Q: Who's Got The Best?? And Don't Forget The Sauce

Steve Hall AKA Shotgun Red posted his BBQ sauce recipe on youtube a couple years ago. I've tried it and quit buying store bought sauce. You can make it a little sweeter....a little hotter. It's good stuff.

Check out the video recipe here: https://youtu.be/JTTCYGcqna0

Re: Spyderco Centofante and other Sub-3MM Blades: Afraid of breakage or no?

In perspective Opinel #8 blade is .066" or (1.67mm) thick and tens of thousands have been made and used hard. I don't recall ever hearing any complaints from users about blade failure. Then again they are not idiot proof.

I paid $60.00 including shipping for a new set of 701 Profile stones last year from a seller in the US. Like you said HARD TO FIND. I looked for years and would've jumped on the current listing.

Re: What is the hardest (but still possible) spyderco to spydieflick?

Chicago CF. This little blade is so smooth opening but flickable? Even with a powerful wrist flick....I can't manage it.
Edit: The OCD in me wouldn't let it go. I oiled it up and kept at it for better part of an hour. I've got about a 90% success rate with the little bugger now. :D

Check the box number and make sure you didnt get the Desert Camo C10ZFPDCMO by accident. You should have C10ZFPGR.
