I’d often ask, “Daddy, do you have your pocketknife?” just to hear his response, “I got my pants on, don’t I?”

Re: Figured out why I prefer g10 scales
Do share more of your vast font of titanium knowledge. You have clearly thought this through. Caveat; the above meant tongue in cheek. Rright or wrong, you are of course entitled to your opinion. You just seem to have overlooked quite a few factors in regards to applications (not least knives in th...

Re: What's Next for the Chaparral?
I love the knife and XHP is a great steel that gets very sharp. But it's not very well know by the general public and it is not 100% stainless. I think M390 would make it a better seller. I personally would love to see a Salt version in LC200N. They have all the materials in Taichung to make that h...

Re: What's Next for the Chaparral?
The Chaparral is all about showcasing different handle materials. Is it still, though? The latest FRN model seems to have woken people up to the utility of that size and thickness blade; as well as the ergonomics. With that particularly thin blade, one would think it narrows down the steel options....

A Dragonfly 2 in LC200N or CTS-XHP, maybe sized up a little to use closer to the full 2.5" allowed in federal facilities. With scales that aren't black.

Re: Worth a look?
Thanks for having a look, 500Nitro. I assume there's nothing we individually can do, maybe Spyderco will try to report it? Looks like my answer is in in the VERO thread. In practice, eBay really seems to discourage people giving honest feedback. I think people are afraid to give negs, maybe they're ...

Worth a look?
This seller registered this year based in China but now states the location as California. Low-ish feedback total. Selling lots of knives at low prices, might be worth a look.

We'll probably slowly convert from BD1 to BD1N. I would not put it on a level of S90 though. sal Digging up another knife steel thread. Re: Smallest spyderco folder
What are you going to be using it for? If it's cutting threads and opening letters, then maybe the tiny knives work. But any more than that, and I'd agree the DF2 is small and light and can do a lot more. The tiny knives are difficult to get a grip on, when that's needed. I have a Manbug and a Finch...

Maybe not crazy, but ICYMI the excellent byrd Raven 2 is $36 at Amazon. It could make a nice gift/user/etc for fans of choils.

Re: Is the Dragonfly Obsolete?
Of course not. The Chap may be the “just right” knife for some; but for others it’s exactly wrong, not quite enough, not sturdy and thick enough - a Delica or Native is the alternative carry, not a Chap. The Chap isn’t better for every use scenario or user. So no, not obsolete. BTW, see the discussi...

Re: Sell me on a byrd
The biggest point in favor of byrd knives is the design. That affects your experience of a knife at least as much as the manufacturing quality. And given that more companies are doing better manufacturing, the design is what sets byrd apart in the current environment. People focus a lot on where a k...

If you're wondering about the proportions and specs of the Para 3 vs the Para Military 2, p 27 of the catalog shows it to scale.
