Re: What are you listening to?

They're probably best known for this song which is off an older album.

Re: Para M4s---"too patina or not to patina"

You'll have to find someone that offers those services (BladeForums is probably a good place to look). I had my Swick3 acid washed and then stonewashed by Eric on BF (ShepardCC)...the finish was the same as on my Schempp Tuff before the acid/stone wash (You'll see how much darker the Swick came out)...

Re: Para M4s---"too patina or not to patina"

Has anybody forced patina on the Roc? I think that would look awesome, but I don't want to do it myself! Well, at least I don't want to be the first one! It would be incredibly difficult if not impossible to force a patina on a blade in VG-10 (Or almost any other knife made with a stainless steel)....

Re: Anyone else cringe when they see pics with an edge on stone?

The more dangerous the shot the better lol. 3rd Gen rigger has some precarious pictures for example Most are a lot less precarious than they seem lol. I wanted to do a tailstanding picture of my Chokwe on the top of a tower, but towers do tend to move a little with the wind, and the wind itself cou...

+1 for natural materials. Great suggestions thus far, and I'll certainly buy a couple at least.

Re: Blerv's Car Chit-Chat

There's no such thing as too much horsepower...but with great power comes great responsibility. People do stupid things with very underpowered cars and others drive responsibly in crazy powerful cars. It's all about the person behind the machine as far as I'm concerned. The last time I was pulled ov...

Re: Battlestation on KC for $119!

The ergonomics of the BattleStation are some of the best I've ever held on any knife...it's actually that good. I have custom shred carbon fiber scales on mine that are a little thicker, and also a little more contoured and I think they make it even better. Hammer grip, chisel grip, reverse grip, do...

Not sure who's watched the <$10,000 LS vs. Coyote shootout build done by EngineLabs, but it's quite interesting.

Re: Blerv's Car Chit-Chat

The GT350R and Hellcat are awesome, but I'd still rather have a Corvette Z06 if I had lottery money (And a '67 427 powered Vette to go along with it).

Yo Chris, that my friend, is an excellent point.
Trolls always return. They just hibernate from time to time when they kick up too much dust.

Re: Knifeworks M4 PM2!

Just got mine today and it's a very nice example. The edge bevel isn't overly wide and appears completely even on both sides all the way to the tip. Perfect blade centering while closed and absolutely no blade play in any direction. http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab238/CanyonAB/DSC00035_zpsnbrrj...

Re: Exotic Japanese steels

I am kind of surprised that superblue gets as much or more love than hap40. To me, they are very similar in how they sharpen and the type of edge they will take but hap40 shows a distinct advantage in edge retention/wear resistance in my usage. I've noticed this as well and would pick HAP40 every t...

http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab238/CanyonAB/IMG_0290_zpsyjtgbokn.jpg Nice Knipex... I have a 150mm one. I can imagine it's worth it's weight in gold when you are up there hanging from a tower. The HAP40 E4 is also not too bad... It's nice for all sorts of things, especially since that one whe...

Re: Small Slysz Bowie Issue

Either send it back, or you could try loosening the pivot a little so that the water can wash the pivot out a little easier. If you're worried about stripping a pivot screw you might not want to try this. If you do, rinse the pivot under hot water for a bit first to soften the locktite before cracki...
