Re: Stone washed blades
I agree, I would love to see more stonewashed blades from Spyderco. It looks fantastic on my Maxamet PM2, and the stonewash from Taichung on the Slysz Bowie and Swayback is just beautiful.

Re: Seconds sale 2022
I spy some MuleTeam knives, does anyone know which versions? I would have gone broke! They had a bunch of ZDP-189 and CTS B75P. I had several must haves in my basket otherwise a ZDP would have come home with me. Yes a ton of ZDP-189 and CTS B75P mules, I think they were $58? There were also some of...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
https://www.nationalknives.com/on-sale/ NationalKnives' sale section updated again. Some good ones. Gayle Bradley 2, SPY27 Manix, Sun/Moon Chappy On a sidenote, I wonder if that Manix is discounted because screwed versions are starting to hit the wild. Saw someone post a screwed SPY27 Manix on redd...

Re: Cutleryshoppe exclusive?
Got one ordered!
I’m always surprised that the para 3 lightweights don’t seem more popular. They’re one of my favorite models. Really excited for this one with the orange scales and coated blade and hardware.
Edit: and it’s already shipped!

Re: Sprig Re-run
I owned a sprig and really liked it, but thought it was expensive for what it was. I’m interested in another run, but it will only be more expensive now. So I love the idea of a bow river with s30v or similar steel, especially with micarta scales. Seems like a nice compromise to get a Phil Wilson de...

Re: BOW RIVER™ BOLTARON® SHEATH
Interesting, I didn’t know these were a thing! No picture on the website, I would be interested to see what these look like and how well they work. The kydex sheaths for the Bow River that I’ve seen listed on eBay state that the retention is just from friction as there is no good contact point to lo...

Re: Why not serialize Sprints/Exclusives?
I do not care for numbers on the blade, that’s why I avoid CC knives. If it was on the liner I wouldn’t care, but I wouldn’t want to pay extra for it.

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive
I had two lynch clips lying around (you can see one in my pic above). The first one was pretty tight and was similar to the stock clip, but the second one was a lot looser/had more spring to it and goes in and out of the pocket much easier. So, if you get or have a lunch clip you could try bending i...

Re: Ti Framelock with drop point blade?
I never really liked the orange peel look of the Advocate scales, I’d much prefer the scales to be bead blasted and stonewashed similar to the Chef or Swayback. And with the issues that can arise with bearings I’d prefer washers. And yeah no flipper tab.

Ti Framelock with drop point blade?
The recent thread about which knives we want for 2023 finally got me to really think about a design I’ve been mulling over for a while, and wondered why Spyderco has never released it. It would be a Ti framelock design similar to the Mantra 1, Chef, or Swayback but with a blade shape more like the G...

Re: 2022 Knives for 2023
1) GB2 with comp lock and blue G10 (S90V or M390) 2) New design, Ti framelock the size of the Spydiechef or Swayback but with a more traditional blade shape similar to the GB2 or Advocate (Magnacut or M390) 3) Ikuchi exclusive with blue G10 (M390) 4) PM2 LW exclusive with blue scales (S90V) 5) Para ...

Re: Has the Paramilitary 2 ship sailed?
No it hasn’t bottomed out. The more expensive PM2 exclusives generally take a while to sell out, and the Fraden Lock one is one of the pricier ones in a while. The Cutlery Shoppe exclusive is pretty unique with two different colored scales so maybe it turned people off somewhat. I’m sure there is al...

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive
The aluminum scales definitely feel a little lighter than the G10. Also feel really good in hand. I wasn't super impressed with BD1N with my old Para 3 LW so I decided to do a blade swap with my Maxamet PM2. I also put a Lynch clip on to hopefully minimize pocket-shredding. Action and lockup are exc...

Fab Four They fight for use most days. (Middle two need a final sand I like to do after a bit of use ;)) Have two more (Z-Wear and Z-Max) to knock up before I get to Magnacut How do you decide which pin holes to use? Love that you mix it up, but wondering what drives the decision. https://files.cat...
